BOXING: Barrera vs Marquez

Ok ok ok....i know there's some boxing fans out there -- all 10 of us.

I'm 99% sure i'm getting this fight on PPV tomorrow night.

Marco Antonio Barrera vs Juan Manuel Marquez for the super featherweight title.....this match is a dream come true for fight fans.

Barrera -- he's a living legend. His trilogy against Erik Morales will be talked about for generations to come. He's Mexico's new favorite son.

Marquez -- arguably the best ring technician in the sport. Fundamentally, there might not be anyone better. He's been in the shadows for a long time and his opportunity has arrived.

Honestly, i'm not sure who wins this fight....Overall, Barrera has more tools in the box. He can slug. He can box. He's willing to trade in the center of the ring, but if this bout becomes a classic boxing match....where throwing jabs and counterpunching is the name of the game, Marquez will win.

Here's why this fight is important -- the winner gets a HUGE money rematch against Manny Pacquiao. He's the one common opponent that Barrera and Marquez have.

Pacquaio destroyed Barrera in their only matchup.

Pacquaio knocked down Marquez three times in their match nearly three years ago. The last 90 seconds of the first round couldnt have been any worse for Marquez. After the first round, Marquez put on a boxing clinic and earned a draw. If Marquez was knocked down twice instead of three times, Marquez would have won the fight on a split decision.

But -- tomorrow's fight -- i think Barrera wins, but it will be close.
