I like this. I think it would be better though if you kept the amen break as the main drums, take out the halfstep bit. Also try and give it a bit more bass, sounds kind of weak

Another new one from me, feedback returned.

fenx manl, yeah there are a lot of things missing. stil working on it. what kind opf bass sound would you prupose?

i like yours, it has that chilled atmosphere. i would give more pressure on the sub bass and put more ihlights init.

EDIT: if i hear yours (listening with technics headphones, not in my studio atm) and listen to my own, i'd say you did your subbass work better. what did you use for it?

Massive. Just a sine wave then boosted the low end slightly, then dropped the low end of everything else so it has room in the mix.

@ Carmen - yea man I dig this track, some of those noises are so sick especially ur high pitched guy. I think the beginning vocals that kind of filter in or whatever could be louder. Also your kick is a little weak, needs some more oomph. I think overall actually the kick and the snare need more oomph you kick and snare to not stand out enough. The kick itself needs some more click to it add some higher freqs somehow I think. Also since your kick is so subby it will have some issues if you add a sub underneath your bass, which you probably should seeing as how this is dubstep. The bass sounds themselves are just tight they could be a little more sharp in the mix sometimes I feel some of them are a little over-distorted. Overall great composition and samples though and you are def on the right track. Work on your mix-down and making those drums bang and you will have quite the track thar!

@ Unabomber - lovin the thump on that kick drum but I think the snare could use some more OOOMPH, cool kinda progressive beat! Composition sounds really good and I never got bored listening to it thats for sure.
Its also a little over-subby, but that can easily be fixed. So yea just work on the mix-down on the drums and maybe drop that sub a tiny bit I think.

@ DookieHowserOG - interesting has some great push and pull going on there. Overall pretty sick man. I don't have any complaints thats for sure. Add a sub to your bass somehow though. Otherwise not much more I can critique on this one the mix-down sounds decent your snare sound is a little dry though needs some lovin unless thats what you are going for.

Ok I sear this is the last time ill make u guys listen to it. I added the intro and drop and did a lot of little adjustments but I think its pretty bangin now!

@LordBid - The variation in the wobble is really cool and the samples are wicked, but I think the drums could be a bit bigger and a bit of distortion on some of the smoother wobbles would be cool. I think a few more robotic sounds would be awesome. They'd make drops and drop-outs sound bigger. I also think that the intro is a little long, but overall it's a really cool track. Nice one.

@Pete Miles - This sounds like it's really got potential to be awesome. The bass/wobble sounds need to be a bit louder or just bigger in general. You could have some really distorted/reverby sounds in there to make it a bit darker. I'm not a huge fan of the dance-y drum beat that comes in around 2:36 but apart from that (and the airey snare sound) the drums sound tight. Lots of work still to be done on the track, but mostly fine tuning. Seriously though dude, you NEED to post feedback. Also stop writing with caps lock on :)

@charliefoy - I really love the vibe you've got going on there, really chilled. I like the dynamic range and the fleeting wobbles. I think some atmospheric noises would be awesome - maybe a train going past. You could have it pan as it went past and freak people out :) Really lovely over all, nice variation but not too much and not too short. Well done dude!

This is a track I started around 2 this morning, so it might be a little crazy. Feel free to tear it to shreds or whatever.

@jakedubber Thank you, seem to be getting loads of positive feedback for that one. Yours is sounding pretty good, although its not to my taste really. I think it would be better if you took out those mad noises and kept it with the beat you have between 0.34 and 0.59, sounds really nice through there :)

@cheeky - I think your snare drum sounds a little weak there good sir, could use more upper end frequencies layer it with some more white-noisy samples. I think this track could benefit from a lot more variation especially in that wobble, instead of changing the speed every 8 bars or whatever. The age of continuous wobbles is gone, these days you have to do more. This track could really sue some breaks where it stops a beat or has a fill or something, it gets boring playing the same thing over and over again with a slightly different wobble. Think up some new variations, add some syncopation. Otherwise mix down sounds ok except that snare drums

@ Jakedubber - Frankly everything in this song sounds way too processed/distorted and really gets thrown off by that super clean pad. I think you need to tone down the distortion because at first I thought my monitors were acting up, and it is not helping this track. You could also use a lot more variation although I know its a WIP. Basically I liked the parts without the bass more than the parts with. I think clean it up because right now it sounds messy and fuzzy lo-fi.

@ Pete Mills - Wicked wicked drop, my sort of style. Definetly work on the intro though dude! I was close to moving on before it dropped which would've been a shame cos the drop was awesome. The mix for me is pretty good too. Try get some dark pads and atmos going on in the intro? Don't have that inro sound follow the same progression as the drop. I still liked the sound in intro though but just do more with it.

@Jaked - Just mental lol, do summin with it.

Update to a track i posted here before..

@ rhek : Sounds good through my headphones. Snare could use a bit more punch. Nice production, but it's sounds a bit too clean. Give your bassline an extra punch.

@tripwire22: I like the minimal approach. Cool pads and synths you got there. But I'm missing some drive in your tune. Add more percussions or synths to get things more uplifting.

@Jakedubber: strange tune. Not really feeling the distorted synth. I like your pad though. Sounds lovely!

@Lordbird: I like the sound of your wobble. It's very Caspa'esque, which is nice. But your tune doesn't get my attention though. I'm missing a catchy synth, or something that will pay my attention.

@ goldarak - thanks for the input man I added a catchy little phrase into my tune now and did some more tweaking as I noticed it kind of had that issue too. As for your song I enjoy the vibes you have going and I love the mix-down it has a kind of nostalgic vibe for me. I think parts of it drone on too long without variation, even though there is a lot of variation in the track. and the repeated vocal sample gets a little stale. I think it could use some sweeps and other instruments to help flesh it out a little bit. Overall pretty cool and at least fairly unique as far as most of the music that gets posted on here goes.

here's something iv been working on recently. early stages at the moment, wanna add a breakdown and another drop.. maybe add another synth over the intro and add another 4 bars to it. gotta liven it up a bit too! haha but any critisizm is welcomed

@nzcrumpet - I think one of the main things this track is missing is sweeps! electronic music is all about sweep effects and other tension building techniques. I suggest you look in to up-risers and down lifters, there are tons of samples of them out there and they are very simple to make by yourself after watching a few youtube tutorials. I think your song has some good ideas. Another good piece of advice is to vary up your drums to add syncopation. If you toss unexpected twists at your listeners it really helps this out. Lots of good examples of this include adding kick drum hits outside your main loop to fallow your bass/wobbles/whatever. also dropping the beat in a predictable fashion ie: at the end of every 8 bars or whatever, helps to bring in your next bassline variation. Your mix-down sounds good just keep up the work of eqing and polishing that shit up so all the sounds are playing well with on another. I couldn't listen to your sub because of speaker limitations so I don't know how that is sitting in the mix but otherwise tis good. Basically i advise you to listen to your favorite producers and listen really closely to what they do with they're drums in response to the bass-line and vise versa.

@Rumdrunk
Not so bad,I like it..I just feel like the bass synth which kicks in right at the start is a little rough try filtering it just a little bit more..I also like the reggae stabs! Keep working at it!
@Charliefoy
I really like this man,love the intro and when this waaaarm bass comes in that just does it for me,this song is great man,massive PS: I love those deep wobbles @ 2:09 and through out(would love to know how you made this)
@BigMD
I like the overall feel of the track,but that lead synth kind of annoys me over time..and like someone else said,try with the amen as the main drums,I think it would sound a lot better!
@Pete Miles
Great track,nice production,not much to say..this sounds like a finished track.
@ Lordbid
I'm not a bid fan of the intro,however when it drops this is real nice man,i'd say try to fix the intro a bit more and you'll be there!
@Jakedubber
Not really a fan sorry,but I'll comment on the production side..when it breaks down at 30ish seconds it sounds really good I think you should focus on this part to build the song..the other parts sound really rough
@Cheeky
Loving the beats on this one,however I don't really like the wobble i think you should work a bit more on the sound..the rhythm is nice but I don't really like the sound of it..other than that it's great,I like the drums
@tripwire
as usual really deep man,dark rainy october day mood on this one,big ups..the only thing is,I think the snare is a little bit to "tinny" if you know what I mean
@Goldorak
I love your stuff man,I remember seeing you in the WIP's before and loving your song,and this one does it again..you really nailed the percs..this is straight dancefloor music,big ups man!

Now,here's mine..It's a little something I started earlier today,I haven't been much inspired lately and I kind of like that one..At first,I didn't have that wobbly synth,I just had a big sine sub..but fucking around with the synth I made this sound an at this point,I wasn't really sure if I should continue with it or just the big sine sub..I'd looooooove some feedback guys! Thanks
