ableton crashes....... wtf

Post by phrex » Mon Oct 25, 2010 3:29 pm

no... it's not an illegal copy!!

and always when i open a project (just one pecific project) it crashes after about 3 minutes of playing it. always same spot. i froze all midi components to get just audiofiles for less CPU usage. still the same.

well - the track was almost finished - so i thought i'd just save it. and now it crashes always after about 40%.... what the fuck??? :q: :q: :q: :q: :q: :q:

had a similar problem with a vst plugin. did you use any plugins that you usually don't use, just in that particular tune?

yeah - i did not update yet because i'm scared that i won't be able to open older projects.

i have now updated... will try shortly again to save the project.

might be ram issues? i ran into this recently, had to kill every unnecessary process including anti-virus+firewall just to export a track. ableton doesn't handle running out of ram very well :(

yeah i found it's a bit better on resources since the update. you'll definitely be able to open old projects but you then won't be able to open those projects on an older version.

all right. that'll work out.

i love opening tracks i started 2 years ago. to listen and just use elements of it - build up a whole new track with the knowledge you gathered in this time. :e:

tho i love using reason in rewire.

best thing for cutting drums/tablas/hihats in dr. rex.

i actually ararely use the synths in reason... they sound so.... reason. :( but it's probably my fault - can't actually handle with them although they all are based on the same system as any other synth.
