Mixdown - tips

Post by abcgle » Tue Oct 26, 2010 1:51 am

Hi guys,

I'm pretty happy with the content of my tune, so now to the Mixdown stage.

Any tips on where to start? I know the drums and the bass are what drive the song, so everything else should be based around those elements.

Also I started my project with my levels at -6db. In my mix down should I mix around those levels, or will that create lore issues making the song louder in the long run?

The track so far:

<object height="81" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf ... e"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="81" src="http://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf ... _url=false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object>
