Thats not really selling out though is it?
They haven't started making mainstream music just for $$$ - they have stuck to their own style and their own mission.
If a track by Skream suddenly took off and got used on an advert - would you accuse him of selling out just because more people like his music?
Theres a difference between selling out, and making a bit of money from the music you love.

I must say that when I heard the rumour about them licencing I was pretty surprised. This is UR we are talking about here...its kinda hypocritical given the militant stance UR take on these kind of things.Dusty wrote:Thats not really selling out though is it?
Still, big em up...Got a lot of love for UR.

it seems that this is actually some weird practical joke thing on the part of UR. the aforementioned beer company and the town it was supposed to be in...neither of them actually exist. so...go figger...i think mad mike is trying to fuck with people.[b]racket wrote:Did UR not recently sell out and licence a track [High Tech Dreams] to a beer company?!
underground resistance has been a huge inspiration for me, musically as well as philosophically. one of the best moments of my life was playing with mad mike standing right behind me, and then having a conversation about, of all things, baseball. that guy will talk yer ear off about baseball. seriously.

when the full UR squad played at club69 in paisley a few years back, mike stopped the music and made everyone there sign a petition to stop some old ladys music cafe getting closed.looking after the community indeed.
regarding these flyers, they are annoying me too, but i dont have any graphics programs, so if anyone wants to fix it, ill be most gratefull.
