i have a xone 32. rock solid, and even better EQ's than a rane. the only thing you need to be careful with is redlining the mix out for too long. stay in yellows, and an allen heath will run forever.

xone- all of them are sweet. -and common in club setups too.
If you need one with wider capbilities and a sick touch screen look at the pioneer 909. I run a 909 thou my st150's. AWESOME!!!! If you can find your self a second hand one i feel you'd never look back. Not to sure what the 2nd hand £ is thou.May be worth saving up more money if you only require 2 channels.

love the Xone mixers, although I find with the 4-band EQ that the freq ranges aren't ideal. If you're spending top dollar, do check the Ecler mixers that someone ^^ suggested - they're really fucking nice too, some mad USB interface shit going on too, very creative mixing possibilities.

Pioneer DJM 800 is fuckin dirt mate, but your talkin just over a grand, the effects are sick though.

Check out the dennon mixers too for around £600, you can download new effects and that off there website for it, they've got a nice sound but sayin that not as crisp as the Allen&Heath mixers.

Denon DNX 1500 is a well built mixer,
4 channels with a nice effects unit on board...
The Crossfader is deep aswell (Penny & Giles) pretty much last ya a lifetime

the tech cd are nice but i feel overpriced and slightly overrated. sure they look the shit but why make the platter so small? i feel i need the full 12". -insert your own gags here-.
numark offers a good deck that you'll save £ on in comparision. depends what youre gonna do with it.....same old chestnut.

mixer...allen n heath then. agree with chap up top bout 4 eqs but not really a problem just a bi of a nusence. pretty lights too. oooohhhhhhh! aaahhhhhh!

Mackie D.2 or Ecler Hak series all the way. Magnetic faders *DROOLS*
Some of the A&H mixers don't have fader curve controls...

cool - think i'll try ecler, mackie n xone 62.

as far as technics concerned, you got me thinking now ludo - maybe i'll want a full 12'' too.

main reason im getting a cd mixer is just so i can buy mp3's too. so u reckon the numarks wother a look.

thanks alot for all the advice guys, i really appreciate it. this forum rocks.
