i have a micron and although i love the thing, it's a pain in the face to program because it only has one fucking knob.

@OP if you've got 300 quid to spare, why not actually pay for some of your software?

Thing is, hardware synths get released all the time and frequently aren't good sellers initially (see: story of the Roland TB-303) - until they're discontinued and a handful of people figure out how to work 'em really, really well.
I have old and new synths, and nothing comes close to my Juno 60 except possibly my Korg Poly 800. Those things sound raw as fuck, and if you put 'em through some FX... forgetaboutit.
There are plenty of new synths I'd buy if I had the money, but in the meantime... it's good to snatch up shit that people just don't know how to use and bought thinking they were going to be the next skinny necktie synthpop wonder, only to have it collect dust in a corner. 300P should be able to get you something decent.
