Aphex Twin Has Recorded Six New Albums

Aphex Twin has completed work on six studio albums.

The producer, aka Richard D, said the albums contained a mixture of new and old material, but stopped short of confirming any release plans.

“I’ve got six completed,” he told Another Man magazine. “Two are very non-commercial, abstract, modular-synthesis, field recordings – those I finished four years ago.

“Another one is 'Melodies From Mars', which I redid about three years ago.

“There’s one of stuff I won’t go into; a comp of old tracks which is never really finished and always changing; and then one I’m working on now. There are also loads of tracks which don’t belong anywhere.”

Aphex Twin released his last studio album 'Drukqs' in 2001.

He constantly makes music for his own enjoyment as far I can tell. Whether he goes about bothering to release anything I got no idea. Hope these ones do surface though. I like the idea of aphex modular synth music

After 'I Care Because You Do' he said he had about 12 albums of stuff just sitting in his house.

He's a proper little pricktease.

There's these certain piano pieces on Druqks that play in my head on a near-daily basis, even though I haven't heard them for months/years.

I'd like to see an album's worth of those mellower, folksy pieces.

this kind of jokes and specualtion is why people like aphex and burial are reclusive and dont really care about putting out maximum amount of material for the "fans". yeah if i was as recognized as he was you better believe i'd be making jokes in press releases. who wouldn't want to troll a few million people and have them all fall for it
