It's only right, then, that Scuba re-enters the fray. The producer is set to re-visit a number of early cuts, handing material over to rival producers.
Collected as 'Triangulation - Reinterpretation' the album sees Scuba pushes in a thousand different directions. From the fractured garage of FaltyDL to the out and out funky of Deadboy the producer's bass legacy (echo?) can be felt across the myriad of styles.
Amongst the cuts, Scuba himself gets involved. DJ staple 'Before' is given a re-working by the Berlin producer, retaining the waves of sub-bass but adding some rattling, techno influenced drums.
A superb opening, Scuba sets the bar for over producers to follow. Out now on Hot Flush, 'Triangulation - Interpretation' is a stunning reinvention of a deeply influential producer.
