It's an "oldie but goodie" in my opinion. It has it's own sound which I quite like - modern and hard-edged.. For Dubstep bassess and subs, there's a lot better out there (Massive, Zeta, Predator, Zebra, Scanned Synth Pro). Where Vanguard shines is in leads and arps.

Vanguard is good, but it`s a bit of an oldie.
Gladiator is the follow on and has many improvements.

I quite like using Vanguard, I still use it in my work and never fails to deliver!
Not made the switch to Gladiator yet, trying to get the most out of it first.

Anyone know how to get to the Arp editor in Vanguard? The gate adjustment is simple, but I CANNOT find the arp modifier. It's bugging the shit outta me cuz you'd figure it's GOTTA have one... Who wants to use the same arp pattern as presets or stock or whatever... Also, on a side note, has anyone used Nexus 2? I can't find the oscillator editor. It allows you to turn them off and on and edit all the filters, envelopes, effects, etc., but there's nothing I can find which allows you to edit the waveform of the oscillators... Again, it's GOTTA be there somewhere, right? -q- :u:

vanguard is great for arp's and trance leads/easy little sounds i find, ive left it recently but i think it was the first synth i touched, so helped me alot.

also grime, nexus is more of a sample library, you cant edit the osc.
And the arp is on the bottom left.

Thanx for the heads up about nexus, but on Vanguard, what I mean is a way to edit the notes struck by the arp, not just the frequency, strum type (up, down, random, etc) You know, like Nexus has: an arp editor, for lack of a better term.
