underground resistance has been a huge inspiration for me, musically as well as philosophically. one of the best moments of my life was playing with mad mike standing right behind me, and then having a conversation about, of all things, baseball. that guy will talk yer ear off about baseball. seriously.
Huge UR fan and Mad Mike fan. Of course, the only time I saw the whole crew dj together was in London (which kicked ass btw).
Probably not coincidentally, the one time I went to Submerge, he spent the majority of time talking about the minor league baseball team he plays/played on. Cool guy and sick crew.
On the Detroit techno tip, it's been around for a little while now, but if you haven't already, pick up the High Tech Soul dvd. Excellent bio of the Detroit scene.

I was listening to the Infiltrator EP the other day and thinking how proto-dubstep it is. Like halfstep techno. Great track.

All about the 808 bass boom for those guys. They still love those red & orange buttons.
