Dubstep Production Program? PLS HELP!!

Post by Mikelo » Sat Nov 13, 2010 6:52 pm

Hello, im Mikelo and im trying to find an easy dubstep production program. I don't know anything about production programs but i know a lot about computers generally.. Please, i need someone to show me a program(FOR BEGGINERS) in order to product dubstep beats.

p.s: When i opened Abbleton Live i thought it was a chinese software. :? So.. something easier and more understandable.

Thank you for reading my topic. :)

Reason is visually quite straight forward to understand and get your head round.

If Ableton looks like chinese to you, renoise is going to blow your fucking mind.

Try FL Studio, it's got one of the easy gui to work with imo.

I would try FL Studio Mate. It's got a really easy step sequencer and an FPC drum sequencer as well. The piano roll is also the best of any DAW I have used. There documentation is also quite good as well. Check out some youtube videos too.

What they said, just pick one and stick with it, whichever you choose its not gonna come easy lots of time involved to get somewhere, well worth it tho. Id say reason is pretty easy to learn on as it has built in synths and fx, dnt have to worry about vst. Lots of people go for fruity loops as well.

I found fruityloops very useful and easy to understand as a beginner years ago, perfect introduction into sounds imo, and perfectly capable of doing everything the other DAW's can do,

and people dont have to put down stupid comments to boost up their post count, this guy is obviously new to sound design and for all you know he needs to create a basic dubstep beat for a project and doesnt know where to start.

There's tonnes of tutorials for Fruityloops, it's got a very user friendly interface and a lot of people use it when starting out.

If you spend enough time lurking around this place you should find the Chinese software slowly translates to English...

Reaper still is chinese to me lol. I still can't figure that damn program out. Acid was a little bit better but not much (I did like the beatmatcher plugin and the easiness of pitching things differently with "+" and "-" keys.)

i don't get how people are still intimidated by renoise, it's seriously not that hard and a lot quicker to work with than traditional sequencers, which most people who have ever used a tracker before will tell you
plus the development team actually listens to it's user base and it has it's own support for scripts now
