the one tune that can actually be suggested to set the mood for prom would be Phaeleh - Afterglow (feat. Soundmouse)

or Von D - Show Me (feat. PhePhe)

or Submotion Orchestra - All Night

or Kromestar - Say Yes

or L Wiz - Syrup Feeling

ahhh there are actually loads

or Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe (NOT DUBSTEP)

or throw some garagey vibes in there:
Falty DL - My friends will always say

lol dude u wont listen to me, but bin that extreme noise skrillex and play some nice r&b and melodic soulful romantic dubstep music and you will thank me the day after when you and all your bredrins get laid like mofuckas! :D:

Sorry to take the piss like this. Hope you have a good prom.

why are kids like you still around :(

It's music... quit trying to break the styles off from eachother and worry about how you can further / better the genre... they'll be split off and considered 2 diff things in time
Dub and dubstep are already two very different things. Is 40 years enough time for dub to be 'its own genre'?

Damn you must go to a very open-minded high school...

If I were to play something like a prom and I dropped a dubstep tune they'd be after me with torches + pitchforks!!
Stick to the top 40 bs..anything that is played to death on the radio and sounds like shit will be considered genius song choice by most...

As much as i love the thought of dubstep being played at a Prom.....if you two are the only kids who like ''good'' music then you really shouldnt be playing it. Theres nothing worse than going somewhere that you hate the music......and if the majority of people arent going to like dubstep then your prom is the last place you want to be playing it. DONT RUIN THE PROM!!

If I were you i'd go down the old skool garage route, its different (to probs most of the stuff these kids have heard), its dancey and girls like it!! A few ideas:-

Architects - Body Groove
Kci & Jojo - Tell Me Its Real (Club Asylum Remix)
Zeb Bias - Neighbourhood
Sparks & Kie - Flybi
Shola Ama - Imagine (Club Asylum Remix)

Soundcloud - LPR006. Due 20/05/13.

If you are the only kids who listen to good music in your school....wouldn't you know all the good songs to play? :u:

jokes. i don't understand why a DJ needs to ask what they should play.
Christ, I wouldnt know what to play at a school prom

cut him some slack.

Just go for classics, play 90% shite and chuck in the odd dubstep tune otherwise you wont go down well at all.

Kids?

You better cut that talk out straight away. Patronise me to my face you're likely gonna get laid out.

especially as you seem to be a fucking idiot.

They'll split off in time?

You got any idea how long dub was around for before dubstep? They've been considered two different things for fucking ever you tit. until of course ignorant stnuc come along and start calling dubstep "dub" because they're so fucking retarded that saying a second syllable is too difficult for them to manage and don't realise in the process they're looking about as dumb by calling Skrillex dub as if they had been calling Bach happy hardcore.
