bingo
besides the people who stereotype and base their identity on a music genre tend to be in high school

expand your horizons man it's rewarding, plus you can start to see where people draw their influences from

Sometimes yeah but I mainly get, oh you don't know what dubstep is. So I just whatever. All my mates know what I am into so I very rarely talk about music with anyone else.

And yes, I listen to plenty of other stuff besides dubstep, even if its become one of my sole listening habits ha. It's too diverse!

Generally I struggle to see how anyone can be stereotyped for listening to dubstep (unlike perhaps e.g. metal where you go to a gig and predictably see loads of fat men with long hair wearing black band-branded clothing)... perhaps the only thing I can think of that is even stereotypable (is that a word) is a gang of mephedrone-filled kids moshing and punching people whilst watching Doctor P or Excision or something... for me, that part of the 'dubstep' scene has become a stereotype, in a way

I remember a couple of years back where if you said you were into dubstep people automatically assumed you were a ketamine user.

But that was when ketamine was all the rage.
