Sub-woofer Article in 'Sound on Sound' mag

Post by user group » Tue Mar 27, 2007 12:44 pm

this months mag has an article (6 or 7 pages long) about sub-woofers.

also a bigger article about bass generally.

had a flick through this in the newsagents, today.

worth a look, I suppose. dunno about forking out 4 quid for it though

Last months SOS was shit compared to it's usual high standards, wish I'd bought this one instead.

My sub is fucking up the sound in my producing room. The Adam A7 monitors sound sick, the £100 gale sub just booms. I need some acoustic treatment in the room or something, building it is fooking long though!

You need to get Paul Whitey and his mate in with some acoustic baffling. :)

i think burning the gale sub as firewood might be a better option. :o

i wouldnt put a gale sub anywhere near ADAMs. If you want cheap subs go to BK electronics (www.bkelec.com). or just save up some more for a quality SVS sub like the SB12+. you can get one of them for £500 here

its got balanced ins/outs and is very adjustable. would make a great studio sub as long as your room isnt huge. :D
is it?

NO.
