@Wobbafet – “Shelob” First off, kudos on the name, pretty clever and I lol’d. Second, nice track. Slow, heavy tune. I agree there could be a little more in the sub. Keep it up!

@jfloyd – “Turn up the bass” – Sick. Very cool idea here, dark, tight drums and slow wobbles. Top notch!

@daddy mchectic – “Dead Hookers” – Darkness! I like the ambient background, not too busy. Samples are nicely placed. Perfect length too, it doesn’t drone on for hours. Nicely done!

And now for something I like to call "Awkward Step". My attempt at trying to really mix up the flow, and play to all the short attention spans out there (including mine).

@ reloukkz : I think it would be better with a variation of sounds as that wobble got quite repetetive after a bit. I like the rhythm of the track though.

@ resykle : I like the bit at 3:05. I think that 'metallic' sounding bass sounds great. It's such an odd track but something I really like about the whole thing. Keep it up.

Another new track that I have been working on along side my other tune called 'We Burn'.

Check it out!

@Bass Sedation: Thanks for the insight, I most definitely need to turn up the sub. I wish I hadn't just returned my rented monitors :6: Your track is crunchy as hell, and you are definitely playing to my attention span. There's so much business going on with all the sounds, but it comes off as being more intricate than crowded to my ears. I think I'm picking up on what you're going for. I just wish I had some superior speakers to listen to it with atm. Diggin it! :D :D :D

@ObsidiaMusic: I can see you certainly know that the concepts of "music" vs. "noise" are culturally defined, and you seem to want to push the envelope. Since you're going with really over-the-top unearthly, inhuman synths, you might consider trying some less generic drums/snares. Something more spacey, or glitchey perhaps? Just my two cents. If you like the classic sound, that's cool too. At the very least, turn the drums up, or the synth down... I couldn't hear them hardly at all in the mix

I'm just gonna leave my new track in my sig if anyone wants to listen or comment. Always appreciated. :m:
This just in: slow & heavy dubstep. A work-in-progress, so if you can, please provide feedback. Listen up!

@wobbafet: I like it!! I really like this kind of atmosphere.. like the drum pattern and the snare is fat and powerful. the main synth/midbass sound is cool, but maybe it's a little bit repetitive even if it changes the pitch, just my first impression
good work on the arpeggiator! like it mainly in the beginning where i recognize a sidechain on the synth that seems "triggered by nothing".. is it right? i often use this trick to make sounds breathe hehe
i'm hearing it with in-ear earphones and i couldn't feel the vibrations, but the bass seems heavy!
this track would be perfect with some variations on the main synth and some more drum breaks

@obsidiamusic: totally another atmosfere hehe.. like it as well! the drop is gorgeous! you did a good job working on each sound! I like when the stereo becomes wide on some sounds. just one thing: the kick drum seems to be "eaten" by the fat synths and it looses power in the drop, maybe it's because of the mastering compression, but the drop would be more powerful with the same kick power i hear on the emptier parts

@bass sedation: really danceable drum pattern, not so easy to obtain, i like it! the main synth sounds really fat, good job! but one thing i noticed is that everything seems too loud and distorted, maybe you pushed the master too loud, i would try to keep the master volume lower and make everything more clear and clean!

just my 2 cents and sorry for my english, it's not so easy to talk about tracks and sounds hehe

@ Sir E Coke: put this up on youtube with a cut up & sync'd version of the video clip and you're going viral, sir. Maybe even to rival dubstep santa. Godspeed. :D:

Try to give some feedback before posting your own tunes. It's likely you'll have some flames come your way. You and only you can prevent forum fires.

@jfloyd
wow i really like that track! the sound is professional and the structure is the right one to make you expect a good drop.
the bass is deep and heavy (will listen to it tomorrow on proper speakers) and the mix is well balanced.
when i heard the intro at first i thougt the sound wouldn't become so good since the drum at the beginning sounds too simple and i don't like those sounds, but then everything changes and gets in place and the track becomes massive, and i like when the songs evolve and you don't get everything on the first bar

i would like to hear more tracks but the flash plugin is crashing every 5 minutes on this old laptop, hope to be luckier tomorrow -q-

@Obsidia – “Destroy” I’m really diggin the sounds man. Spacey. I really like the space you have at the end of the 8bar phrase. Very effective. The only thing I would suggest is make the snare a little tighter, or snap a little more. Very phat.

@Wobbafet – Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping it wouldn’t be cluttered. As someone else mentioned, there could be some better clarity between sounds. I like v2 of Shelob, my sub is rattlin a lil more. I think all it needs now is a little compression on the master to turn it into a jack hammer of a tune!

@Sir Edward Coke – I agree. I’m still ironing out the kinks in this track. Although instead of the Master, I think it’s that midrange bass-it just doesn’t quite fit yet, would you agree? Or should I rework the entire track? “Ding-Dong” Very cool man! Chill atmosphere, like something I might here on SomaFM.

@Vacant: "sensei puff"... DAAAAAAAAMN! lovin' this one big time. The rise near the beginning sounds like one long inhale... worked like a charm. Also, excellent choice of snare... somehow, i think if it had a big, long, verby snare, it would make it sound all cheesy. but your drums are spot on. all kinds of funk goin' on, loved it :m: also, where'd you sample that flute? you worked with it real well

Now that I'm on a roll with this, I got another track I finished some time ago but haven't put it out for much feedback yet. Really techno kinda sorta, but with some cool drops. I'm not sure where it came from but I like it!

@wobbafet: Nice dub trance feel to the track. Would make a good intro track to a set in its current form. Would have liked a big drop in the middle to change things up a bit.

@Vacant: Liking the traditional chinese sample. Wish I could hear the bass that goes with it but I have no sub where I am listening currently. I do hear that high sub that someone mentioned in the soundcloud may be off key. Cool track though can picture mashing it with other louder bass tracks in sets. Images of old wu tang movies are in my head now,

@ObsidiaMusic: 2 tight sounding track with a great modulated bass.

@MRP5: Awesome track, love the intro tremendously. Great variants too in bass after the drop. Love the rising progression from 1:37-1:52. Club banger for sure.

@Sir Edward Coke: Some good stuff here. The drums could use a bit of fattening up or wetting up with some effects; I am hearing this on shitty pc speakers so maybe thats it. Great intros but the drop could have been better. Overall I like it if just for the intro alone.

@Bass Sedation: 1:00-1:30 loving the noise bass section there. Reminds me of industrial sounds. Nice bright sounding club banger. The lines of dub continue to get blurred as we bring in more and more elements from other genres. Awesome stuff.

Sinister - I like your new track since it has that erie kind of sound to it and I'm always about that most of the time!

Debaser1 - I like that bass you used, It would be nice if i was able to create something like that but they never come out sounding so full or clean haha.

chewie - Strong, Heavy and I like that higher pictched synth you got in there wicked bro!

pain - that Hadouken song is purely awesome ahah

Here's my new one at REVERB NATION - LASER BEAM! (I'm very new to the whole producing scene...so I'm sure they're will be a lot of errors haha.)

hey guys , here is my latest track .. I just had a track signed to a label (getting released this or next week I think) and here is the next track I've made since . I'm pretty happy with it - and most people I've shown haven't been dubstep heads , so would be great to get some feedback from some people who actually know the music ..

tried hard with the mixdown , and haven't heard it on many systems , so if you guys could also give feedback regarding the mixdown that would be appreciated (it's not mastered)

My first attempt at doing a mix/set kinda thing. Mastered in Logic Pro. I know some of the mastering is terrible and it's a logn way off, but I wanted to see what you all think.

I shall give feedback (as usual) later on, but I'm busy right at this second.
Much appreciated! :D

@Debaser1: Hard to give feedback on a mix, i have no experience mixing whatsoever. I liked some of the tracks,
some i didn't - lol sorry for that mate. Lame feedback :(

@Wobbafet: Nice skills mate! The mix is impressive, pro sounding stuff. Digging the groove on the track
overall. The texture of the snare makes me all wet down there. Really really nice.

@Vacant: Hah, digging those instruments in the intro. Wtf, the flute sounds awesome! That a vst/soundfont/sample?
I need it! Digging the track! It has an awesome feel! Only thing i would like to hear different would be the snare,
maybe a little more upfront and with some nice reverb. But it's all good. Excellent work!

This is my track. Would love some feedback. :)
