Reason Questions

Post by capsule » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:21 pm

I just strated to use Reason next to Fruity. Its totally different so i have to get used to it, but to make progress i have some question.

1. How to get a Pianoroll (like in Fruity)

2. What Sampler do i need to use to make basslines

3. How do i use the Sampler... :P (I would like it to use like the Pianoroll if that is possible...???)

4. It looks so confusion cuz of all the buttons, but is it in a way similar to FL? (Not that i suggest thats its exactly like FL, cuz it not  )

If any wizzkid can answer these question i would be very happy! Thanks in advance!

u dont have to be a wizzkid to answer them questions, im proof of that

1. in the sequencer window click the 'Swith to Edit Mode' (top left icon)

2. you can use both, either the nn19 or the nnxt, or even use the synths, its up to you.

3. Reason is 1 of them programs where you can keep things basic, or you can get REALLY technical with it by rewiring and rerouting CVs and triggers an shit, its nothing like FL tho. there are some small tutorial vids on propellerheads website which will get you started. http://www.propellerheads.se/ there in the support/video tutorial section
