BBBBBBBBBBBBRAP

Sorted some mo fucking press passes in exchange for driving my mates down - the DJmag crew, decided to go last night very pissed and excited about the whole shebang. Realised I'd turned it down to see n-type in notts.....I turned down this whole thing initially to see n-type in a club where the gun to person ratio is normally 3:1....thank god the offer was still open!

So yeah, I'll be rocking a tshirt with the wigflex man on all weekend (thats the half robot thing in the avatar..) and probably have a camera in my hand. Say ello please as I'm only goin with the press crew and they'll be off working a fair bit so I'll be on my one

Bassbloc and Tecbloc finish at 9, smashbloc at 10, checkout at 10. I think.

I for one am planning to stay Sunday night, but I'm not paying for it. I reckon as long as your flat checks out on Sunday and passes the deposit inspection or whatever you count as gone. So I'll just crash on someone else's chalet floor. Got to find someone though, so if anyone on here is planning to pay the £20 let me know. I can offer Mr Kipling apple pies and what ever intoxicants I have left in exchange for floor space. Plus eternal props.

Or if you anyone's aren't planning to pay £20 but also want to stay we could join forces and get 1 'space' between a bunch of us and split the price.

So much fun this weekend

Hold tight Charles

Terrorhythm Recordings has never looked so ghetto.

I think the amount of stories we have from the weekend definitely merits a myspace blog!!

I'll get on it in the next few days (when I wake up!!!)

sorry for not making the 3pm meetup originally but was hungover. was being far too optimistic to meet up that early.

was heavily sick all day monday from serious alcohol poisoning - have decided this was my last festival ever. it has to stop some time, i am getting too old and there's no way i can ever go through that again.

big shout outs to noiddroid, 4linehaiku and adjantis_art who met me rather than me meeting them, standing out like a sore thumb definitely helps to meet strangers you only know via the internet.

plastician's set was the highlight of the dubstep stuff for me, lots of good grimey noise in there too, will definitely be checking out more of his stuff. would be good to get even a rough tracklisting even if not a d/l of the set.
was pissed off with myself for missing the sunday afternoon stuff but i was only going to bed at that time after drinking with some norn iron boys.

only home an hour or two, bed now.

ahh dublinstep, hope you feel better. cant have you writin off festivals entirely though!

i didnt make the 3pm meet up either... did anyone actually make it? shout to 4linehaiku who found me as well - by that point on sunday tho i was seriously laggin... had woken up on sat on a comedown, then started round 2 drinkin, droppin and ravin like a motherfucker... didnt stop til 36hrs later on sunday...! big up the virus crew - true soldiers!

really enjoyed plasticians set too, and that pontins jacket was f-f-f-fresh blad, hope you nicked it! apart from that loefah's set was stormin - pokes was a legend: some wasted guy actually lobbed a t-shirt right in his face to sign... pokes' face said it all! sorry to everyone that i was too sketchy to say hello to or congratulate.

apart from that, was a weird vibe - kids 'fun' holiday place made everythin a bit sinister, but still a lot of joke. bit annoyed i missed out on the go-kartin and swimmin tho, but there you go. screw pontins for chargin electricity!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNCE!!!!! hah ha bloc was awesome, nuf people hating on it on the bloc forum though. I'm a norfolk boy gone south london anyway so it was great for me being back there, met so many people from raves and stuff way back. Thought the attitude of everyone there was spot on, managed to go the whole weekend without ever really feeling raw or knackered too!

Yea i thought the music was top notch, great sets from..... alex smoke, (chatted to him on sunday- he was well safe) youngsta & task, (fucking took it up a notch seriously- still best dj in dubstep imo) plastician, (smacked it bruv- great mixing) vex'd, (dark as fuck) virus syndicate, (awesome- properly buzzed people up), surgeon (drillcore nastyness). Best set of the weekend though goes to technical itch for me- 5-6am saturday morning...oh my gosh, that last tune he played was fucking sickening, nearly blew my head apart i was gritting my teeth so much.

Gutted i just mised mary anne hobbs, only slept four hours the whole weekend! I was slightly annoyed with the scheduling of the whole weekend, dubstep on sunday afternoon? come on. I thought the dubstep worked well on the system though, but i must say i was really disapointed with loef's set. Pokes was great as usual but loefah seemed somewhat lazy and uninterested. i know there was some technical difficulties but i expected this to be a highlight and it was a bit of a let down. I tried to talk to them both at the bar and thank pokes for sendng me a sherman tank on myspace but my voice was (and still is) completely fucked o i jus' gave up! :(

I was quite annoyed at the lack of dj's using laptops. This was the first music event where i've found myself really uninterested in whats going on on stage. I think i only saw 3 acts using vinyl turnies the whole weekend.

But yeah, shout out to the forum heads!!! Dublinstep/ kev u made me fucking crease with laughter mate, every hour i seemed to see you just drifting about on your own completely mangled talking shit, hah ha go on son.
And 4linehaiku/ john? your "Are you dumb" t shirt gave you away mate, good to meet you too, dubstep wobblers on sunday eh!!!

All in all a masive weekend.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORWAAAAAAAAAARD! :D

Should probably get in on this one. Had a fucking wicked weekend. Lack of sub action in the 'bass'bloc was a bit of a downer, but everything else was great. Also can't remember seeing Aux88 in the slightest, which is a real shame as I was looking forward to it big time. I'm asssured I was loving it though, so I guess things could have been worse.

Friday has an enormous hole shaped like too many pills in it, so most of my highlights were on Saturday. Alex Smoke, Surgeon, Rob Hood, some serious Techno on the go there. Youngsta and Loefah killed it despite the pretty empty room and lack of bass weight. Congo natty were pretty good when they actually played tunes, but there was way too much fucking about, and the DJ didn't seem to actually able to mix. Every tune from the edge then pulled up as soon as it dropped I swear. Plastician was well good too, Duppy, Clack Riddim and some Joker beats are always banging.

Probably the best weekend rave since Dedbeat. Probably.

Managed to get temporarily addicted to Nos I swear. Our chalet got through 100 canisters by the end of Saturday. Ridiculous.

Shouts to ajantis_art for finding me (it's tom not john, but close enough), and Dublinstep and Farrah for being recognisable. Apologies if I met anyone on Friday night. Anyway, you know what I look like now, so come say hi if you see me at DMZ / FWD / This squat thing on friday / whatever.

Fuck, maybe you can fill me in on my movements between around midnight on Saturday night and 5am or so on Sunday night, cos its all, all a total fucking mess to me. When I met you first I was at the last of my ok-ness but later on (about 20mins later) in the toilets (where I was obviously getting some strange looks but thankfully no beatings) I think I was nearing my blackout.

Met lots of people. Interesting how some people I chatted to on the Friday night (in normal mode) didnt recognise me the next night or if they did, stayed well, well clear.

[edit] Just had to take that photo down [/edit]
