women: weren't many at first. but the ones who were there were quality and they loved the music. friendly & sociable. but then the trendoid women started turning up, straight from the poncy clubs, leather & cosmetized. snotty and posing.checking the scene. taking up space to be seen.

cheap air travel: meant the english lads started to travel which was great in a way cos we saw Benga, Quiet Storm, Coki & Mala before things blew up BUT it meant the local dubstep producers & djs who'd created the scene and around whom the community had grown, started taking a back seat, missing out on sets etc.

and @ dubsola: beer
it was really noticeable in 07
that the line of steppas down the front started getting mowed down by beer-breathed monsters flailing away and crushing toes...was like being invaded by Norse barbarians.
