Future Garage Recommendations?

Post by Blerim » Tue Nov 30, 2010 7:21 am

easy guys

its probably down to the weather and other things but around this time of year I always start listening to Burial and Synkro on a daily basis; fall in love with their tracks year after year.

Was just wondering if anyone could recommend me some stuff, preferably emotional vocal stuff similar to burial's "archangel", "shell of light", "tell me" by synkro, the kryptic minds remix of Lung's "afterlife", Spectrasoul's "melodies" etc etc

Bless!
My recorded all vinyl mixes are here...

There's this guy out of Poland doing some really, really Burial-esque 2-steppy Garage and some interesting soundscapes/synths, too. I heard the first part of his Phantom Papers EP & am looking forward to hearing the second release when i have the money for it. The guy's name is Late. tbh i don't throw these tunes in mixes i do because, quite frankly, i don't really respect artists who rip a sound this much but, lol, it's nice to listen to when you're in that vibe atm. Here's a few tunes off YouTube -

wouldnt really say that burial and synkro are 'future garage' they are a bit different to some of those producers in the long list.

might wanna check out blawan id say he fits the bill more for that dark, organic sound. also alot of martyns tunes could fit for this time of year too.

You're right. That statement is off. I apologize and I take it back (if anyone was offended).

I honestly have not been listening to Dubstep that long (maybe three years), & didn't know that that kind of skippy two step garage sound was around at all before Burial. Last night i was checking out some older Grime tunes by So Solid Crew & they have a somewhat similiar feel (and those tunes came out in like '05 and earlier).
