BIG.

BASSIC is proud to bring a serious gift a little early this holiday season to all our steppers out there. On Dec 1st we've got the one and only N-TYPE touching down to give us a dose of what dubstep is all about!

N-TYPE (Wheel & Deal, RinseFM, Tempa, DubPolice) UK
Hailing from Surrey in the southern part of the UK N-Type has been there since the beginnings of dubstep's first steps. With a heavy influence from garage and drum & bas...s he found himself alongside Walsh doing his first radio shows on DelightFM. Before he knew it he had his own prime time spot on RinseFM and was getting his hands on all kinds of new and hard to find beats. His show on Rinse will be going on to its fifth year now. His first release in 2005 was a tune called "Square off" on Southside Dubstars. From here on out it would only get bigger and better with his tunes being rinsed on BBC by the likes of Mary Ann Hobbs and in clubs by artists such as Skream, Benga, Kromestar, and more. Known for his mixing skills behind the decks, fresh dubplates and unique commentary has helped him forge his distinct identity and mad his name a staple in helping to push the dubstep sound when it first hit the scene. In 2009 he launched his own record label Wheel & Deal which was welcomed with great success and has featured such artists as Ben Verse, HeadHunter, DJ G, Youngsta, and many more. Don't miss out on this as BASSIC celebrates Christmas early this season!

Warming up the decks will be Wheez-ie & The Scoundrels!

Wheez-ie (aka Matt Mauldin) is a Houston Tx based producer and DJ. Now a student at Berklee here in Boston, Matt is trying to really develop his sound and style. His tune Deathmask was featured on BBC One radio and has been getting play from bass heavy DJ's all across the states! Check his newest release on Well Rounded Records!!!!!!

The Scoundrels (aka Grizzly & Scotch1)
Grizzly is a dubstep producer and DJ from Boston, MA. He caught the dubstep bug in 2006 while overseas serving time in the U.S. Military; and he has never looked back. Now that he’s free from Uncle Sam’s unrelenting grip, Grizzly is attacking the international dubstep scene full-force! With 3 releases under his belt already, he continues to progress on a daily basis. He is already receiving acclaim and props from artists such as: 6BLOCC, 12th Planet, Joe Nice, Deadly and Watson (of Futurism Recordings), Reid Speed, and many others! Keep alert! Grizzly is a force to be reckoned with…
Scotch1 grew up on mix tapes ranging from Dj Hype to DJ Dan. He began playing records in 1998, and has since played shows from Boston to Bali, with countless venues and parties in between. His main rule when playing: crowd control. From low-profile mood setters, to in your face smashers, Scotch1 can keep any dance floor filled.

"There is a lot of tension in the music that carries a satisfactory darkness with it, but it's also lazy music. You don't have to dance hard to move with it. It was born with a reefer in it's gob."
