sefs wrote:i've got two sounds i've tried multiple times to get but i haven't had any succes trying it!

the first one is right at the start of this song by pixelord.. i mean the ARP'ish sound that repeats itself for the first 6 seconds..
i hear it everywhere! but i can't seem to nail it..
<iframe src="/forum/video.php?url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5GzJQooOg0" frameborder="0" style="overflow:hidden; height:auto; max-width:540px"></iframe>

the second sound is a bit similar.. but it feels like it's much faster.. i heard rustie and nastynasty doing it often..
it starts at 0:51.. it sounds like a higher pitched version of the sound i mean in the pixelord song..
it's this crispy ARP'ish repeating sound..

if ANYONE could help me how to get sounds close to these that would be really amazing!

thanks in advance!

Nah mate, it is in YOUR best interest to spell things correctly so that people are more likely to be gracious to you, and if you don't care about that then you might take a look at where you're spending your time, aye?

I thought it was pretty funny since you were talking about your english courses.

What's the point in the random soundcloud track?

hey i can tell you exactly how to make that one
i used this old p.o.s. yamaha keyboard for the arp, you can easily replicate the initial sound with predator or massive or whatever softsynths your comfortable with
basically make a relatively quick arp with sine and triangle oscillators, give it like 2-3 octaves of range and throw a big minor chord down
eq down any outstanding notes/frequencies and bounce to audio
reverse the audio and run through this little wonder:
http://koen.smartelectronix.com/KTGranulator/
split the pitch (i usually have one at +12 and one at +24) and turn the grainsize down to 0ne, adjust stereo laws etc... to taste
cheers and happy twiddling
ick.

Wow i feel so stupid for not spotting this thread earlier, maybe someone could help me out with this one. I can re-create the wobble in:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5I1vXhXa-Q the one that comes in at 1:46 I've tried different kinds of distortions and effects but i can only get a little bit of the intense "yoig" type of sound that he's got there. If someone could help out that'd be great, im running logic and i'm fairly new to it so i might not catch on right away. Thanks for the thread!

I havent ever posted on this website before, but i was just listening to temper trap - soldier on (rusko f'kin seagull remix)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd6VX2yjVTQ

the synth that kicks in at about 1:45 is awesome. Does anybody know how to create something similar to that? I'm making a track for my electronic music class and that sound would fit really nicely.

Thanks

Do you guys know how Bar9 made the bassline in his song "Keep this fire?"...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bo72aYjZds

I've been trying to figure out how to make this type of bassline using Massive...I think it might be performer or stepper but I'm not sure.
