Bagged these over a year ago and are still going strong. Very durable with decent sound quality. Great value for money imo.

it really is worth spending a little extra on the Seinheisser HD25...they are to headphones what Technics are to turntables..industry standard..

they sound fucking amazing, and you can replace any failing part of it separately rather having to replace the whole set...

I have had mine for 8 years, really battered the fuck out of them and they still sound incredible.

While I agree with the superiority of the HD25's, impressive sound quality for headphones, I think headphones are such a money pit in contrast to a proper hi-fi set up. I spent years on Head-fi forum only to see the same story over and over again: my Grado's, Seinheisser (insert expensive name) headphones don't sound as good as they can.

So it starts off with re-wiring the things, then it takes adding cables and clips to remove the ever present distortion, then (and this is truly for the dedicated)they add external amp(s) for headphones that cost just as much at times more than the headphones and the lame Ipod they listen to. Worst yet they can't even take them outside for fear of breaking their now multi-hundred set up or its just too bulky or embarrassing/impractical to use in public.

I don't give advice, but if it were me Id look at the 2nd hand shops/classifieds for a quality 4 channel amp and some solid multi-sub channels and a turntable. In the end you'll have more money for vinyl or digital or whatever you play. In most cases they re just taking up space and most don't even know what they have so you can pretty much name your own price.

Pfft this is proper engineering, Frink-out = Brock out!
