elemental wrote:Dubstep from Loopmasters is a brand new Download Pack featuring over 170MB of brand new beats, bass, synths and Sound FX for new wave musicians, producers and DJs looking to incorporate some authentic Dubstep samples into their productions!
The term 'dubstep' was coined by Ammunition Promotions and first used on an XLR8R magazine cover that featured Horsepower Productions. It gained full acceptance with the Dubstep Allstars Vol 1 CD (Tempa) mixed by DJ Hatcha.
In 2007 dubstep producers are increasingly absorbing dub reggae sonic aesthetics - sub bass, reverb and delay - to forge a distinct path away from associate genres like drum & bass, house and breaks. Using different rhythmic patterns like the 2step and halfstep beat patterns (yet deployed in the same tempo range) dubstep can create senses of differing momentum within the same DJ set. At best, dub reggae sonic aesthetics also allow a broad range of new musical influences to be introduced with a sense of coherence.
The Pack was created by Toni Ann Gray of Bulletproof Breaks, and includes 15 atmosphere pads, 48 Dubstep Basslines, 30 Drumloops, 13 Sfx Hits, 17 Melody Loops and 50 Dubstep Drum Hits.
Also included are RMX compatible Rex2 Samples for all the Loops and 22 Patches ready to play in Kontakt, Halion, Reason NNXT and SFZ.
Shut up MBP - I so need one of these. The only reason I've not been coming up with generic dubstep is that I'm unable to make it. This should really help me in my quest to be more similar.metalboxproducts wrote:gravious wrote:

if you've been producing for a long time you'd realize *gasp* even big producers use sample cds
maybe this is some piss poor put together cd but shit my guess is some unknown will use it and come out with some tune people will be asking where orig sample came from
ie: dnb wise i have some sample cds from 98 that tech itch and ed and optical used for bigger tunes that was a "shitty sample cd"
Yeah your right, big producers use sample cd's, I use sample cd's and im sure alot of the producers on this site do.Deadly Habit wrote:christ all you sanctimonious fucks need to stfu

Only if your inexperienced/shit at using it, and use the presets (which are pretty poor for the most part).rekorder wrote:SECONDED!jahtao wrote: i'm of the opinion that Reason is much like one big sample cd.

I know, I just think its a cash-in, and I find it disappointing, because this sort of thing can help a sound to stagnate. By putting a bunch of sounds on a cd and saying "this is Dubstep", you are pushing aspiring producers in a certain direction, which I think is a shame.Deadly Habit wrote:christ all you sanctimonious fucks need to stfu

Admitedly, it does constrain you a little if its your only sequencer, but its easy to use and rewire it.
Totally disagree. It makes the need to move on more obvious, helps it evolve. And if a producer gets being pushed in any direction by a sample CD... well, there was not much good coming anyway.gravious wrote: because this sort of thing can help a sound to stagnate. Yeah, true, it could have a positive effect. A target of "what not to sound like". Lets hope so eh?Blip wrote:Totally disagree. It makes the need to move on more obvious, helps it evolve.
