Nice one, but it needs some work! You should really add another bassline with a pitched-down sine bass. Plus, you should equalize your baseline to give it more weight. Add an equalizer and turn up the low-shift and gain.

Don't try and add weight to a midrange bassline with eq. You'll just end up trying to boost sound which isn't there. Just create a single sine tone in a simple synth and dup the midi data from your original bassline into that. If anything you want to attenuate the lower frequencies of your mid-bass to make room for some actual bass.

Thanks for the tips, been messing around with that bass sound, heres another attempt, hopefully the sound is better (its a different track) because I hate revisiting songs, probably a bad thing! but i spose its just how i learn, the more i do stuff the more i understand it and so on

Yah, double up your midi data and add a sub bass with an EQ that cuts it off at 30hz to avoid audio ducking. Its always nice to also send that track to the same send as your kick drum so it cuts whenever your baskick hits, that's of course using a compressor will accomplish this effect.
