DJ Qazi (real name Ian Olson) is a West coast music producer from Seattle, and is part of the No Ego Records label. Inspired by Benga and Excision, and an associate producer of Chadimus, DJ Qazi will release his debut EP: Darkest Distance this Halloween.
His music is very bass driven with composed high tone melodies. DJ Qazi finds his roots in dub/reggae, funk, downtempo, electro and trip hop. His musical experience stems from eight years of latin/funk guitar instruction and performance. Professionally, Qazi is an audio engineer and sound designer, undergoing studio training in Los Angeles, California. Along with producing music, DJ Qazi also spins dubstep and house music.
