Right. So I'm looking to buy a mixer so I can have so-called two way communication between my hardware and software. IF I'm right this would mean I could output software synths into hardware effect boxes and etc, and still be able to route the signal back into the computer to record without the need to chance cables, etc.
Information here: http://www.tweakheadz.com/how_to_hookup_a_mixer.htm
So to do this I'd need a mixer with a an alt 3-4 output. Question I have for ya'll is suggestions on a mixer around $100-150 or as cheap as possible that would make this type of connection possible.

Re: Two Way Communication between Mixer and Audio Interface
no one else has this setup? are there not community members that dream of perfect bilateral signal flow between their hardware and software?

Re: Two Way Communication between Mixer and Audio Interface
I always had to mute things on my mixer and route outputs to control room, never seamless
