akg 702's and audio interface
was wondering if anybody uses a headphone amp along side with their audio interface.. or is the interface enough to power them (akg 702's)
Re: akg 702's and audio interface
Audio interface will be fine on its own mate.
Re: akg 702's and audio interface
Well it takes a lot to push 702's. I have AK1 and it does ok. I have it almost all the way up at times though. The AK1 also handles my 600ohm Sextettes too problem is I am not sure I can recomend it at this time. I am having some major issues between it and WIN7 64 bit.JFK wrote:Audio interface will be fine on its own mate.

Yeah I use an audio 2 dj SC from NI with some sennheiser hd280's and the card provides plenty of power. I think you only need to be concerned if you are plugging your headphones (if they have a high ohms rating I'm guessing) into your computer soundcard as it will not have enough juice to push the headphones.
