Mixing Dubstep??

Post by dubhead16 » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:01 am

I have been paying around with FL studio and massive for a week now mainly just messing around making sounds. Im not really out to produce music but i would like to learn how to mix n mash existing dubstep, elctro and house tracks. I DJ for alot of parties and i would like to start creating party mixes instead of just playing track after track as i do now. What kind of programs & devices would i want to start out and what kinda of tips can you guys give me? Thanks :e:

Traktor is a good place to start, or... you could learn how to use Sony Sound Forge and mash them together in there.

Ive got a 5 min mash up of about 50 Dubstep tracks that was done in sound forge by Wooda, or Woody, cant remember which, and its fucking SICK!!!

But Traktors good aswell, 4 digital decks, built in effects, beatmasher, flange, phase and filters
