Hell to the motherfuckin no XD what makes you think a panel of 5 people deciding who the winner is is gonna be more valid than 20-30 people voting? I listened to all the tunes, I still voted for the top one. Just because the winning tune happens to be at the top doesn't mean the system is flawed. Obviously it would be better if there were more people contributing votes but it's still the best way to do things I think.

Voting does keep me more involved after i finish my track, like now i'm probably gonna listen all tracks again to make my vote. But it's a time consuming process, as i try to factor in how the samples were used and there are usually a lot of good track in different styles.

So personally i don't mind the panel vote, it takes the work of my back :6: The way it was implemented last time it also used more experienced producers as judges. So it has potential to give some valuable feedback.

But it should be more regulated, with a system for scoring the tracks and feedback. So people know what aspects are judged on. Also transperancy about who the judges are. And preferable a little jury report, at least for like the top 5 (which could be an incentive by itself to make it to the top5)

Also like the 'vote in thread' idea because it would be nice to distribute points. And be able to reward the second or third best track. Don't know if it would work because some people might not like to post in the thread.

Well i'm not makin a big fuss I personally don't really care where the votes go I'm just looking for some kind of reaction/criticism for my tracks. It'd definitely be a bit of work for them, but if 5 people who know what they're talking about can tell me why my track is shit then IMO I win :6:

But how would be on the panel?
Well we had this going several months ago, it was Macc, Alphacat, and a few other heads I can't recall at the moment. Five individuals on the panel, one week to decide. This greatly reduced the number of spam voting in the past, the only drawback was that most of the producers wanted the traditional voting back in play. I think that is the best way, because like I said anyone and their grandma can send loads of heads who dont even produce or listen to Dubstep and submit votes.

What I really would like to do for the next one is not only make an extension for the submission of tracks but also start including prizes like your choice of any Dubstep release, its a lot more effort but I think we would get more people and definitely more time for producers to sort their mixing etc.

So all those who are in favor please link me a PM juss so I can get a solid count without having to count through all the pages!

Cheers.

Also, congratulations to:

Jeeruff

and his track

pm'd

I voted for END OF LIFE, although PILGRMAGE had the highest production value I found the vibes on end of life more appealing.
Good job to whoever did that one :W:

yes, my dad really wanted to submit his voice for me after listening my track and he did not liked others. my younger brother also wanted to support my idea, because he was in one room with me all the night that i spent for this track (or two nights, anyway). and also I decided to vote for my track because I found it kind of the most developing (by the way, when I heared little white swamp, I found it very interesting because of long phrase - big up constrobuz)
@apastrat, please tell me what you do on your drums? last time I don`t put aby compressors - only "mixing" and ozone on the master, i`m lazy because at the time I have only my headphones to fix all the stuff.

so, big up all and please, feedback on my other stuff if you want:

p.s. and I don`t think that I was cheating, but if someone is complain about decision of other 11 voters - guys, sorry.
