This is gonig to soun so stupidly propperly but i'll explain my situation.....
Basically I singed up ehre ages ago and check on my account ever so often. I love the idea of playing music but have no real idea where to start.
I don't like the production side of it that much i am more into the Dj side of it. this is hwere my problem starts i have NO idea how to even start Dj-ing I have seen differnt dj's using differnt set ups
Some of cource use vynal and i've seen other using computer to beat match the tracks together.... persinally I think the vynal is cooler but price and what i have to hand this is not gonig to be viable. Therefore i am stuck to the computer option. Do any of you friendly guys on here know what programmes i might need or where to get them, honestly any help would be great thanks.

If you are short on cash you probably want to get a cheap midi controller. Like a behringer bcd3000, it's not good, but it's cheap. You can learn to beatmatch and mix on that with traktor. Then when you play in a club you can use the cdjs as the controller. Others options are virtual vinyl (like serato) real vinyl or cdjs. Depends on your budget really.

Im kind of in the same boat as you.
i have done a lot of research and ive decided i want the M-audio oxygen 25 midi controller for christmas, looks like a decent starting controller.
as for programs, it just comes down to preference.
