This is basically the magical trio for me when first sitting down to start a new track, pretty unhealthy but hey it works for me!

oh and occasionally a bit of amphetamines can really keep me focused quite nicely as well (I'm prescribed)

1. Get something to eat and drink, finish eating food and drink, go get some more.
2. Start up ableton live
3. Make 10 second loop of drums, synths, samples, bass etc.
4. Either carry on working on the track or quit after a few minutes and go play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my PC.

if its serious then I tend to tidy my workspace bob the kettle on then tell my parents to fuck off cus im making fire.
