Here's another one I've been working on. Almost sounding how I want it to. Need to bring the highs up a bit though and cut out some muddying in the lower mids. Fix some levels too.

The intro is nice, something like progressive house. Drop has a nice sound, but I would lower the note for a darker sound. The drums doesn't fit in I think, they sound like regular rock drums from garageband :? -q-

My newest tune, Ill up again because of no feedback

@ElSonido
I'll have to agree with ninthy. The drums don't fit. Other than that, it sounds good to me.

@ninthy4
What can I say? Other than; It's perfect! Like your other productions. Love the raggea-parts! And the blip sounds. Awesomeness!
Check out my tune too, plx (:

@ninthy

Sound is HUGE. I'm not a fan of the fades, personally they could survive being a bit shorter, but love the sound. A really damn good track. The lead is massive.

Found the problem with the sine bass. Some of the synth routing was doing odd things to the sound. So the bass should be a bit more present. Should be a bit more balanced overall.

I'll see what I can do with the drums.

@ ninthy4. Jesus mate lol! Good shit. Definitely loving that intro. That kick is one badass mofo!

Alot of you said mine was sounding quite muddy on the intro etc. Since i'm still new at this. I had a read up on more the mastering side/mixdowns etc. Pretty much doing my head in for the past 4-5 hours lol. But think got it sounding a bit better! Still havin a hard time though lol

i think it's kind of ridiculous how like the last ten tracks posted were by people who didn't give any feedback whatsoever.... c'mon guys.

Guys you need to give feedback to at least 3 people before posting your track otherwise this thread isn't gonna work and its gonna go to shit. Thanks for the feedback Finji and Nesta Talmadge on my soundcloud.

Left 3 feedback thru soundcloud. Ok first track for a while. Its not 100% dubstep, bit of a mashup of genres:

WEll nobody gave feedback here so here are a few from the previous page

@zonetrooper5 - I feel like your kick can hit a lot harder, right now it doesn't punch enough into the lower frequencies for my liking. Some excellent emotional synthwork and harmonics going on. I would like to hear more drum variations over all, and maybe elements of the mix need some work to help them out, sounds like some eqing could fix a lot of this. very pretty tune and I love that kind of angelic synth at the end.

@ElSonido - Mid-range noises are obnoxiously loud and as a result really blot your drums out to the point where I can't hear the snare at parts. Turn it down!!!!!! I like the arrangement over all but I think more kick variations like some fills or something would help this out a lot, as your beat is far too predictable and gets a little old after a while. I wanna hear more SUB!!!!

@RatRaceProducing - The mid-range synth sounds a little flat and thin, like not enough of it in the mix or something. Great groove over all though and I like the drums. although it could use more kick and snare weight in the mix cus they are a little quiet. Overall pretty cool, but levels could use a little more work, sub for instance is too loud as well I think.

here's my tune, enjoy!

@LordBid

Thanks for the feedback man, I'll get to work right away. I am making it blatantly midrangy. But I'll definitely try and stop the snare getting drowned.

Your track is pretty spot on. Sub is huge, and that kick is superb. The snare could maybe be a bit more, say, angry in the top end? But I come from making snarly post hardcore. So electronic drums are new to me.

@Nashi

Thanks for the feedback as well. Working on that too.

In terms of your track, the top end sounds a little harsh. The trebly percussion could be dialled back a bit, it just sounds a bit busy up there. The mix at about 1.50 is good. The build at 2.30 doesn't really hit either. Maybe cut the volume down just before, so it's like up up up *moment of silence* boom. Otherwise synths sound pretty good and it's got a damn good vibe going.

@Grumblex

friggin love it. Just enough of not a lot. Brilliantly minimalist. If you could somehow get a female jazz vocalist to make that into a complete song, it could be haunting. Just wonderful.

@ Beat kingdom

The snare could pop more. A lot more. And the hats seem to disappear into nothing. The synths sound great though, and the odd timing is a good touch. It doesn't seem to go anywhere though. This could drop into something absolutely huge though. Good work.

@ wruce billis

Killer intro. There are what sounds like two synths fighting for the same spot in the frequency spectrum down in the bottom end. It sounds big, but it has no pulse. Depends what you're going for I suppose. At 1.47, I'd make the start of the build even more quiet for effect. The kick is being drowned in the bottom end though. I'd say, dial the synths down, use a sidechained compressor on the synths to make the kick punch through, and you've got a pounder.

wtf your ignorance has made you look a plonker here, if you actually read through the thread rather than just posted you jabba, you will notice that this month i have left feedback to about 35 tracks thanks.... and id posted my newest track whilst at work... jokes. so just because the page has moved on i dont get feedback for my efforts no? Its not just me neways lol its just a case of you cant just read 1 or 2 pages of this thread and post crap like that.

More joke than the odd dickhead thats posting without feedback are the goons that just jump in with there bull.

Still all part of the fun i guess.

Will drop some more feedback later when mrs goes work

!peace!

A-list/ new era, sub sounds fine to me mate, almost got a trip hoppy feel going on here. Percussion is sweet minimal but nice and tight and in there own space. this is well different man, this shoulda beena summer release. Would like to hear a couple fmore sounds in there as it progresses but other than that spot on matey. good stuff.

spray paint/ The mids are a touch loud on these headies, my only complaint on the mixdown. Not my cuppa but its original tad messy on the arrangement but im assuming thats what you were going for ? not bad mate definately stands out.

Elsonido/ love that lil plucky synth, kinda eerie vibe coming in. waiting for the drop............. BASSSSS, this is killa. love this already. the mids on your bass are a bit high its killing your percussion off a bit which is a shame coz this is a fooking banger. drop the volume on the layer bass and it will be pretty much perfect. man. liking this alot

LordBid/ nice n spacey, sub is nice n smooth n low. the lows on the kick seem a bit inconsistent like your sub is effecting it or its got some weird comrpession on it. Althought the mid bass synths and wobbles sounds sick they are just a tad dry imo. percussion it nice, n there is plenty of space in the mix man good job. like the beat switch up it almost goes bassline style. gotta say bassline is good man, im liking your style. something a little different for my ears. Nice

Zonetrooper/synths are a bit loud and the beat and percussion is all a bit generic. Few tidying up bits to be done but not too bad. keep it up.

GRumblex/ i was gonna review whilst listening, but it captivated me man. spot on sick track. not got a download floating about?

Ninthy/ oh snap you chuck tune dont ya, im sure ive reviewed one for you this month already :P. another nasty broer man good stuff as always. mixdown is tidy and loving the tunes vibes. got a heavy ninthy spin on it defo man but it reminds me a touch of the older caspa n rusko stuff :P Download please :-P. what DAW you using? im up for some collab hehe

The portrait is my new one (top in my sig)
Blindside it my other relase for this month (2nd down in sig)

Downloads are free, sadly the 320 mp3 was MASSIVE so hello soundcloud compression. but you get the idea lol. !peace!

@RatRaceProducing - lot of effort obviously went into this one. the production is almost that of a professional to my ears. cool synths and progression too mate. not too fond of what happens at 1.20something. the hihat could use a little work, try to tweak the velocity on the hits. all in all, pretty decent tune, altough at first listen i didn't really get everything that was going on, but still 8.5/10

@A-list - i'm liking the intro! the sample is really cool. and man, when the sub kicks in.. this is a really cool tune! the progression does'nt really captivate at least on the first listen but still.. the song just sounds ridiciolusly good. if i had to say something negative, the sitarry synth lead sounds a tad cheap.. anyway good work mi mates 9.0/10

@sprayyypaint - not really sure what's going on here. at least a lot of stuff, maybe too much at a time, and i don't really like the sounds either. the guitarry tremolo synth(slap me if it's a real guitar) is really neat and i'd like to hear it used somewhere else. the mixdown is really clear and crispy, i got to give you that. 7.0/10

@Elsonido - first of all, the progression is pretty cool. mixdown is also decent, although the drums could use a little more space there. the sounds, especially the midrange wobble are not really my cup of tea. the best thing in your tune are the drums. 8.0/10
