Hello all, I'm neew to this forum. Thought hows a better way for people to see how I am than with a track?
@S0VEREIGNTY loved how deep and heavy this was, the reversed cymbal in the first drop was offputting for me but I luurved that sub presence.
Sick sample and the robotic noises in the second drop were nicely placed I thought.
@paravrais loved the deepness but those saws at 1:52ish really didn't sound like they were meant to be there. Really liked the way you formed the build up with the drums and the delay.
@bradicle tune was nice, sounded like something that would be on UKF. Kick seemed too mid heavy tho, try wacking on a transient shaper or a taking the mid down a bit and boosting the hi a little?
@DannyDubstep I was sad of the lack of a sub :( nice sound design, but try not too get too caught up in making something that's dirty.
Also if I missed you I'm sorry but i get really confused about which soundcloud links are for this thread and which are sigs. :S

As for my track, I'm sorry if some of you don't call it dubstep but i think putting boundries on your self while making music is silly. It's very happyish and stuff.
Kind of like progressive house with a big sub and a dubstep beat.

chewie wrote: @ Wirez - "dark future garage track with a bit of classic pet shop boys" LMAO!!!!! Yeah sick tune bro. I actually like the beat seems alot of people think it's not got enough permuations or some shit could probably do with some tasty fills at the end of the bar but that's about it sounds well produced aswell upskies.
Big up Chewie man! Appreciate that :D: Will get some feedback your way on the Soundcloud now!

@ Biggls - Cool track. Might want to change that synth up a little bit throughout the whole track it gets a bit played out by the end. You also need to add some compression some enhancers to those kicks to make them hit harder.

My brand new track called Dreams I would love some feedback on!

Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah the wobble on my track is kind of "experimental"
I sat with just the pre drop for weeks without finding anything that fit. When I tried the wobble I have now, I was glad to find something
that I thought fit!

@DannyDubstep: This is dark shit! I like it! The swinging verse at the end is brilliant. If I could suggest anything I would say the "moan" bass that happens every couple of bars gets repetitive, If you switched it up every couple times so people weren't expecting it, it would stay fresh. Also I Thought the drops are perfectly fit to whats coming!

@ DannyDubstep. Thanks for that feedback mate. I've EQ'd the vocal a bit. I checked for panning, is none at all, so i'm not sure what that is. The vocal already had effects on it (got it off looperman) so have EQd as best as i can (will re upload). Also thanks for the comment about the Dr P lead. I'm taking it as a good thing even with the confused face? Unsure lol

Liking the synths on yours man. Real airy feeling to that sub, sample sits real well!! nicee verb on that snare/clap. Haha mad slipknot sample! Nice structure, think there's something lacking on the drop, needs a bit of an atmosphere in the backround, or get some more hihats going. Nice tune though bro.

@ Biggls. Exactly what Danny said mate. Thx for that. I've fixed the kick. Lowered mid by a fair amount and up'd the highs. And sounding and fitting alot better (I think) I'll re upload :).

O yeaaa, melody :D. I have the biggest weak spot for melodys, me coming from a hard dance backround (hence me having alot) Sounding tops! Real nice atmosphere. Am really liking your work on the drums man. Possibly just change the sub notes a little, just sounds a bit too monotone. Just to give it a bit more of a change. Apart from that really diggin bud. Also on that synth, it could need with a change, but if you dont want to change, just cut a couple of notes out, and change the synth sound to give it that change but keeping same melody ;)

@ Snellvillain7. I think i commented on you couple pages back. That drop I still think just needs a sub as a bassline man to fit that tune. This could be made into a lovely track, but i still think that bass you have there is spoiling it.

Track in sig :) Just a clip now, Just messing with intro a bit.

Feedback please?

@ alexvont: Your piano sounds weird, did you do this on purpose? Don't really like it, sounds too cheap.
The beat is a bit simple too, the sub sounds ok though. After that it becomes a little too repetitive...

@ snellvillain: Love the synth! Bass sounds ok too, but you use a little too much reverb and the mixdown isn't that tight. Cool sfx... But, your track is a bit empty in general and not really structured, you should work on that.

@Bradicle - Really cool feel to the whole track. That vocal sample throughout makes the track real laid back I like it. Now about what you said on my track. The thing you said about the sub bass. I am basically a rookie at this whole production thing I just started about two weeks ago and am kind of confused on the actual difference from me using my regular kicks and 808 kicks differently from like needing to layer a sub bass and how would I go about doing that.

This is the track if any of you other have any input!

jstick - im on my net book but from the sounds it sounds pretty nice for that style of track. like the percussion. and use of synth melody. the intro is def nice and fits well. def would have to mix it with a similar style of its own music.

biggls- intro is quite nice but maybe use a bit more of a build up to the drop. real melodic and very experimential sounding. its up to you with what you wanna do but you could make that a real epic dubstep track

wirez - 4/4 beat excellent love it. very nice . pretty cool vibe and blines through the track and the vox is killer. was waiting for something to happen a lil through out the track but it never got there.

Snellvillain7 - deep cool vibe, cool percussion. everything in this page is pretty minimal but and off the wall but its real good.

ph-14 - dark and heavy a bit slow would be nice to heard is speed up a lil not in bpm but something to get the track rolling a bit. but the bass is real wicked and just dirty.

alot of good sounds for the most all real different vibes pretty good stuff!!!

@ph-14 - lovin those dirty dark wobbles but think the drop could be much much better. Overall a really good track though. I am working on structuring and transitioning better but to me that is probably the hardest part of doing this. How could I mix better?

Just stopping by to drop off some Xmas feedback XD hope everyones had a good day!

@Chewie - Got to be easily one of the best tunes I've heard off this forum. The drums are delicious, love the way they scatter and roll, got a real nice groove going. Mixdown is great, melodies are tidy. Real nice job.

@Biggls - Nice calming vibes here. Feel like the drums could have come in a bit earlier and maybe a bit of a switch up in the melody could have come in with them just to keep things moving a bit more? Otherwise it's a nice tune, doesn't need to be as long as it is though.

@pH-14 Loving the deep-dark monster growl bass. Don't have much to say in terms of improving. Really like the overall style. Thanks for the feed... Does the piano sound wierd after 1.44 or throughout the whole song, because I added guitar after 1.44.

@chewie - good shit man, keep it coming!!!
@jbe - sounds real good man, I can hear some vox in there!
those pads sounded very nice…
@altraxdub - sounds good, but your bass def needs work. i can hear it sounding better, i know you can do it man!

And heres a new work in progress, I dunno if i wanna keep the vocals or not…theres 2 variations of mixing in the vocals…you'll hear it, let me know if you like the first or second one… I cant decide…too stoneded at the moment….

Doesn't 4/4 have to have a kick on all 4 beats of the bar? This is 1 kick per bar :D:

Glad you're feeling the vibe, bassline and vocals. - If you were feeling these what were you waiting for exactly? There's plenty of alteration and new stuff introduced throughout the sections of the track :| I guess you're just not used to music that doesn't drop into a massive held sub bass note -w-

Thanks for the feedback pal, will return the favour now :t:

@Biggls - Good use of sub mate. Enjoying the unique, happier vibe. Melody is super catchy, would work on a better build out though as opposed to a fade

@Chewie - amazing job man

@arisemprex - good mixdown, digging the female vox. also like the hectic sound of the wobble in this one, a bit like radio frequency disturbance. breakdown change in drums adds to the overall groove as well

Here is one that i did this morning, let me know what you think.
