So each element to the track is terrible and I can't drop something and add another?

well each track you make is a learning experience, don't expect to be making quality shit for a while, took me about two years till I made anything that was actually any good, before that I was just learning the production basics. Once you've got the production basics down, you can think to yourself where you really want to go with your sound and what kind of style you want to produce.

In short, yes I would scrap that one as well.

^ I'm not gonna lie to people and tell them their beats are good when they are clearly not. Your friends will lie to you and tell you your shit is good to make you happy. That kind of shit does not lead to musical improvement.

Your tune is produced ok, everything sits well in the mix etc. but it makes no sense. There's no musical knowledge in this at all and it doesn't really go anywhere. It doesn't move me.

Yeah, I am quite new to dub/electronic. Perhaps you can give me a few songs you really like. :]

but if you have experience i think that you might want to give pointers. instead of just sayin scrap it and start over. that doesnt teach ya anything

words can only do so much, the best way to learn is via trial and error, hence "scrap it"

@jargs still i think you could start with words. also im not tryin to be antagonistic i was merely attempting to understand why one would choose to jump straight to scrapping a project as opposed to refining it
