Dude I SOOOOOO feel you. I forget who but one of the DJs dropped My Trance Girl at Low End Theory last night, totally reawakened my love of that tune, easily one of the best. Big Ups Joker! You blow my mind every time

EDIT: I like the purple name for the sound that he and some others are putting out. Putting words to music and musical genres is always going to be hap hazard at best, and we all know that there is no name that we could put to any music that will actually sum it up or give it meaning, but I feel like purple is a good enough name for what they're doing.

joker has lost the file of solid state. and i think he tweeted one time that he had deleted all of the beats he had made thus far for the album to start from scratch. two separate things. don't think he actually deleted it, seen he still plays tracks like my trance girl out, but it's probably not coming on the album then.

just put my trance girl/taste the rainbow on a kapsize (or other label) to build up some hype for the album would be a move i'd reccomend.

Can somebody explain this whole "purple sound" to me? I've never understood it. Is it b/c it's like purple noise or something?

its got to do with the term synthenasia or some shit. too lazy to look up the spelling. basically some people see colours or shapes when listening to music. i personally think i have it slightly as when i was younger, and still to this day sometimes but not as much, assign colors to songs i listen to and think that it just fits. when i listen to pretty much any joker tune i deffinately assign it the color purple. dont ask me how or why its just a feeling that i get

Joker kills me EVERY time! They almost always drop a Joker track at Low End Theory here in LA and no matter how many times I hear his music, it is so sonically rich that I never really get bored.

I have an MP3 CD in my deck for the car right now, and to add to a previous comment, "Watch the Sun Come Up" is just a massively beautiful sunny/LA/beach track!

I also associate tracks with colour, espcially with albums, the artwork usually ends up being the sort of image that I think of when I hear tunes off that album.
