YES!!!

I KNEW YOU WOULD!Did we ever discuss this before?

I've seen 'em at least a dozen times!!That particular show got cut short by the way.Danny cut his leg wide open on one of the aluminum sidings they were using as percussion.He kept going until he was gonna pass out from blood loss.The stage was fucking drenched in blood.Then everyone was chillin' and chattin' with him until the paramedics arrived.He was all mellow about it really.

But you know how crazy Babyland shows get in small venues.I've walked out from them with burns all over my body from the "tablesaw on the oil drum tunes" they do! :lol: :lol:

The decade of Primal Scream thru to Sneaker Pimps with (fey but luverly) Beloved in the middle...and that's just the start of Brit dance rock... :e:

Yeah.I went there.
or it all comes from Jazz, or drum circles, or cavemen with stones

My point is yeah if you take it back that far, but things have evolved many steps removed from House

I remember this dropping around the same time as the Stone Roses - was like the dance anthem for the beach set..

I take it you missed the humour there? :wink:

Talk to a lot of "strictly" house djs out side of Chicago and often times they say that about any form of electronic music.Even ambient and industrial. :lol:

Yup, know that. Middle America parochialism (to which we are all prone);
by travelling backwards in time they created Hendrix, Tully and Floyd. :e:

I remember getting into rawkus records, jeru the damaja, MF DOOM (the first time around on Fondle Em records - I have the original pressing!) mobb deep, artifacts etc. and feeling like I'd missed the golden age of hip hop, but boy was I wrong... if anyone needs some uber nerdy 90s hip hop recommendations PM me!

in the meantime, check out these awesome mid 90s NYC radio show mixtapes;
