DJ Collage (Masse-One, Jam Jam - Seattle) www.myspace.com/djcollage
Since early 2002, the raggamuffin voice of DJ Collage has been a rising sound within the electronic music community worldwide. His vocal performances have been featured on top Viennese records by the Sofa Surfers, Stereotyp, I- Wolf & Megablast. He also has had collaborations with Berlin based breakbeat duo- Dangerous Drums, LA based producer- 60 Channels and the original breakbeat electronica master- Meat Beat Manifesto. With these collaborations, Collage has been able to fuse his dancehall vocal flavor with abstract dub, breakbeat, house, drum & bass and still nice up straight dancehall parties. He has also performed live extensively throughout the US, Canada & Europe. DJ Collage began his musical journey by chatting on reggae soundsystems and with live reggae bands throughout the Midwestern US and Canada in the early nineties. He then relocated to California in 92' and began work with selectors and bands around the Bay area. Currently, Collage is living in Seattle and does many performances in the Pacific Northwest area. He has a unique & flexible vocal style that can flow over many forms of urban & club music. During 2002-2004, DJ Collage also performed at many UK Garage & 2-Step events alongside local DJs Mikebee, Jus Wan, Subtek, Jamin Creed and DJ Science. Nuff said... Mikebee is responsible for a lot more that that, he's the godfather of the SF dubstep scene! Shit would not be popping off like it is now if it weren't for the foundation he layed down a few years ago. The first time I met him (and Collage as well) was when he brought Benny Ill out in 2002. That night was my first taste of the darker garage sound that came to be known as dubstep and I've been thirsting for more ever since.

Respect!

Word, big up Mikebee and Collage. Mike has always been a huge inspiration to me and along with Subtek and Science, was responsible for introducing me to dubstep. Collage is a badman and has been doing big things in Seattle. Really looking forward to his return. I will definitely be out to support. Props.

This one is gonna be a massive night. I've literally been waiting years for the opportunity to go all out on an old school nite, and this is it. Gonna be some S.F. history as Bottom Heavy meets Step @ Grime City.

Mikebee was the first stateside dj I heard spinning 2-step/UKG in the clubs (back in early 2000 I think), and I can't wait to hear what gems he's gonna pull out for this nite. Mike's selection was always on the cutting edge whether at the Top every saturday nite, or as a frequent guest @ Step.

DJ Collage and Emcee Child is gonna be a wicked combo on the mic.

Jamin, Subtek, and I will definitely be digging in the crates, taking it back to the roots of this whole dubstep/2-step thing.

Can't wait for 4/20...
