thats pretty much all it is. any suggestions for it? i dont want it to be crammed with wacky mid ranged madness/nonsense like my other stuff

i mean there are no rules to producing really so it's still good bare, but usually in dark stuff you hear a pad or 2 or something to create a soundscape

nonxero: very interesting ideas here dude. almost felt like a video game soundtrack. not exactly sure what kind of music i would play this with tho.

Yeah, I know what ya mean.. it's a little upbeat but still organic and has a trance feel to it.. that's a hard category to fall into I guess. I made a mix last week (http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=177266) using the lyrics from P Money - Slang Like This... seemed to mix well :)

@nylle - into nothing sounds like a pro production ! comfty music voyage with smooth percussion (really like rim + hh)! love the taste. pads and additional sound (voc) are tight! Following! I prefer those kind of sounds... like i said.. hate filthy wobbles :)
Semihedonist: the intro on beyond is really sick. taking me far from my seat and into your own soundscape. very tight percussion too. liking how the track progresses too. leaning move-- huuge beat. nice panning on that bass too. definitely feelin this and liking the way it progresses. what do you produce in? btw? gonna listen to more of your tracks i love these kinds of tunes : D
I'm glad you liked it :) here often i hear that my sounds are sick or crazy ;) for sure i need to work more with pre-mastering and sub-basses!
I produce with Ableton Live + few VST plugins (albino, fm8, ohmforce ochmcide). Only 2 dubstep tracks righ now, but i will create more soon :)

brex wrote:@noonyez:like everyone else is saying those chords are real nice but id make the break in the middle a little shorter. it gets a little repetitive imo but overall i like the track!

@debaser: i like this one alot, the pianos different, the drops nice and the verse builds up nicely. good job man

@nylle: nice dark track...i like how it has alot of different elements but its still simple at the same time...maybe turn the sub down just a tad but idk it could just be my speakers.

Nice & dark, great atmosphere!
heres my track...its a little different then what i usually do, i posted it in the december wip thread and now i've just been waiting for januarys to come up.
lemme know what you think any and all feedbacks appreciated :D:

@ nylle - nice vibe, cant fault it very well put together
@ Bengfang - all 3 tracks are good, although some of the mid bass sounds are a bit weird sounding in backwudz - imo :)
@ Darkali - Mid Bass patches a little weak? might need turning up or bussing out? the sounds are fine just need to be louder/thicker - overall not a bad track. imo :)

Obivously these are all my opinion, and its your tune not mine :) - Peace

Now for mine, cristism/feedback/comments anything is welcome.

Thanks

Please check out my new track, I'm new to production and will appreciate all feedback, I use Ableton live 8 and am having trouble mastering to get a fuller, thicker and louder sound without distortion, if anyone can help I would be most grateful, thanks in advance!

@Darkali You have some intersting ideas, I thought the main wobble was a little basic, and became a little repetitive. In terms of mastering, see if you can find Reso's masterclass, he does a fantastic job explaining it all. I'm using the Sonalksis Compressor and Dynamic EQ which help my tracks alot. Try Subtractive EQing, even if it's quieter, your mix will sound fuller and you can just push up the master db level. Hope i helped ;) I'm using Live 8 too which rocks my jocks. Love that shit.

a5hl3y2k6: oo atmosphere. Kick and snare sound spot on to me. Lots of life to them. Drop was excellent. Those bass sounds are very Vaski. Love the touch of reverb in there to liven them up too. I think by 3 mins you need some kind of rhythmic change to keep me interested, but it's a sound track this is. Excellent production.

Nylle: Intro is like a mix of Portishead and Burial. I fell in love with it instantly. I'm a minute in and looking forward to the drop... Yes! Had to be a big sub for this piece. Love how sparse you made the drop. And the perfect time to reintroduce the pad. My only criticism is the percussion isnt beefy enough after the drop. But this is one of the most original things I've heard in ages man.

nonXero: Mental. I think the intro is a tad long, for my taste anyway. There's not enough variation in it to warrant 1:20 of the tune. Very fat when it drops though. Synth sounds are all spot on. Drums get a tad lost after the drop in my opinion though. Simply turn em up or something, cus they're EQ'd fine I think. I can varely hear that snare under all the textures. Top notch tune though!

Right, started and finished this today. Just fancied solely working on a new idea for a change, instead of whoring myself out around my other 10 WIP's haha.

Debaser1-i dunno if its me but it feels like the wobbles are sitting just a little too far behind everything. keeping it pretty interesting tho nothing feels like its dragging on! nice job dude ^__^

a5hl3y2k6 - fuckin evil sounding! really vibey too! the snare is a little too piercing on my headphones tho. everything is sounding dope. i love the whistling haha.

nylle- nice track, cant really think of anything to critique ^___^

i feel like this needs someone rhyming over it...
