when you were a kid and playing a sport did you steal the things you needed in order to play and say i'll pay when i become a famous athlete?
do you say the same for other hobbies you enjoy that require supplies?
that's not how the world works, it's an investment, and odds are if you don't even have the respect to pay and support the foundation of the industry you want to break into, even if you do, why should anyone then in turn pay for your material or shows?

I'm far more concerned about my penchant for using very obvious illegal samples.

I am a kid, music is my hobby.
i'm assuming video games are too, so maybe instead of getting the latest iteration of brown and bloom shooter or sports game current year version, put that towards your software as i guarantee if you're serious about it and genuinely interested you'll get more hours out of your music software than a video game or something similar
that and when you actually pay for your software or gear you'll be more inclined to use it and properly learn it in and out to get your money's worth

I cracked some programs, but then I realized I didn't want them and deleted them, I think what I use in the software I have is just fine.

How about buy Komplete. Shit is expensive, but a LIFETIMES supply of sounds, sound generators, and sound shapers. (or just buy reaktor, but kontakt, battery and massive are helpful too)

I've heard that devs are embedding digital watermarks into their plugin's output. A song charts, they decode the waveform, check it against their registered users. The copy is cracked, they just got the down payment for a villa on the Med.

DH's posts are most relevant here. If you're a pirate, obviously you don't give a fuck about anyone but yourself, so please understand that it is in your own personal best interest to pay for what you use.

May make sense to try before you buy, but that shit is still illegal. If he has used the software, and has found it useful, it is time to buy it.

Seriously, though, what are the plugs that make him so unique? If the plugin is what is making the music so unique, the music might be a touch shit. Just saying. Go ahead and prove me wrong.

Wobblez are pritty played out, but I was talking to an old timer the other day, and he swore that you could make sounds other than wobblez with a synth. I don't know if it's true, but that is what he said.

I wish I could see your face while reading this...

No, I'm one of the few teenage boys who doesn't play videogames, and doesn't care for them that much either, sold my shit to save for speakers and a laptop, and guess what that was for, MUSIC.
I am serious about it, infact right now, I should be either sleeping or revising for the gcse I have tomorrow, but instead, I'm waiting for a new track to render.

It's not about what you have, or how you got it. It's about what you do with it.

Good day sir :t:

I love how trusting the pro-crack faction is - "Why, these guys are only hacking software for me to enjoy. They'd never do anything to, say, take control of or plant shit in my machine."

It's like looking back and forth between a uniformed military mechanic with a clipboard and a greasy old hillbilly with an eyepatch that's leering at your wife - and you say "I'm going with the hillbilly 'cuz his price can't be beat."

That said, I strongly doubt the labels will give two flying fucks about what the tunes were made with if they're any good. There's constant sample copyright violation going on in the world of electronic music anyway - the suits don't even go after shit anymore until it starts making money, and then they do what ABKCO did to The Verve and rape 'em royally for every penny they made with that sample.

THAT shit is really wrong. I understand a pimply faced 14 yo wanting to make beats. But professionals doing that shit... that is not even right.
