i'm an ex logic user who's now working with windows (reaper), and i sorely miss a few plugins which i haven't found a suitable alternative to (and yes, i tried searching kvraudio but there's gazillions of plugins to search through):
- delay designer ("multitap delay" didnt yield good results)
- vocal transformer, i dont even know how to call such a plugin

hope this fits in the thread, didn't want to open a new one for it.
c'mon guys

Maybe you're not fading in and out enough for it to have any effect? :corntard:

Is there an easier way to pitch audio samples up or down? The pitching though the time and pitch machine is so... weak. I love Logic but I moved over from Cubase and the audio editing options in Steinberg's DAW were dope. One of the things I miss.

Yezzir!!! Hit the flex button, select flex type to 'pitch or speed' then flex away pitching up or down. Also, you can do vinyl type starts and stops using the fads at the end of the audio, then right clicking and select speed up or slow down instead on fade

BADMAN on the Flex time advice, would have never caught on to that without being told about it! Once again you prove yourself to be keeping well ahead of me on the Logic insides. :Q: :h:

Of course I knew about the Flex time! Just not that I could alter pitch using it! I'm usually pretty happy with the results I get from the Time/Pitch machine or one of the pitch plug's on Logic, but it's always nice to have more options!

Wicked man, I'll be sure to check that out too, sounds awesome!

I think it means 16th triplets, Its hard to explain... But yes 'echo' 'tape delay' and 'delay designer' gan get all the timing options reson's delay can offer, and more... Try out delay designer on some of the 'warped' presets just to hear how mental you can go with this beast...

But of course, you can just use the reason delay, if you prefer using it...

Dep u have extensive tweaking and mixdown experience...

quickly, which logic plugins u think are better then others.. meaning, which ones are proper professional tools that could compete with the bigger most expensive ones out there.. and which ones would u rather dis-recommend?? if that makes any sense.. .. cause i keep testing sum and coming to my own conclusions on the subject.. would love to hear yours.

Well it depends!

For the compressor, it does have a nice vintage feel, especially if you change it to VCA or opto mode, good for slamming things.. Definitely dont use 'platinum' mode.

Space designer is my goto reverb. It really is top notch!!!
Other effects like the spreader (Not the stereo spreader) and chorus sound rich and creamy. The distortion/overdrive is simple, but actually nice. The amp designer is top notch too, not quite as good as GTR (by waves) but good.

And the Synths are really great. The ES2 can do almost anything within reason. Sculpture is capable of making the deepest lush 'organic' sounds and pads around.
The enveloper is logics transient shaper, and i love it! I have the SPL transient shaper, but it doesn't sound as extreme (to me)

Protip:
The channel EQ is sooo handy, especially if you save the default setting when you open up an eq to have all the EQ bands off, and the visualiser turned on and set to 'High', that way you can really see whats a gwarn.

The multiprocessor is fantastic at splitting frequencies too :)

Depone do you use ultrabeat or exs24 for drums? I'm using ultrabeat and mixing it by sending them to aux channels but still seem to be struggling with shaping a decent sounding kick, it always sounds to high even with a test oscilator sub side chained to it. so i guess my questions are what should the velocity of my kicks be, and how loud should they be after compression/limiters/enveloper?
Thanks in advance !
