Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
everyone is saying Britney has killed dubstep. That's fucking dumb. I don't see Britney asking Mala or Pinch for a remix do you? Dubstep is going nowhere. End of debate.
Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
i first was like the most in here: hummmmm dunno, this seems to be the end of our beautyfull scene, i was about to cry literarly.
but you know what?
i realized that this could be a chance.
Britney wil stay britney
all the other pop acts wil stay the same.
and dubstep is going to stay exactly what it is: Dubstep! just more popular, i wouldn't mind to hear some coki, skream or joker on mainstream radio! what's wrong about it, as long we all hold together and keep supporting each other, it just can get greater.
i also wouldn't mind to promote a huge rave in zurich largest clubs with a larger budget than we have now! and to play right after my dubstep heroes!

if you listen to nowadays dubstep, you lose
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

what's bad with progress at all??
some party of the tunes you don't like could be components of a brand new tune you lose your had on it!
yes a baby is sweet, but it d' be sad if it stays a all long life a baby. ini't?

Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
Sorry to tell you this, but dubstep has grown beyond this forum. As such, very little of what happens "in here" has an effect "out there". (No, I'm not saying we should all fuck off. I'm still here, aren't I?) What this means is that no amount of us "holding together" will guide dubstep on its course anymore. Dubstep has turned 18 and moved out of his parents' house.Big MD wrote:as long we all hold together and keep supporting each other

i dono, my view is that the shit stuff is gettin popular, i cant see alot of the original dubstep/ getting alot of air time on mainstream radio, as you sayBig MD wrote:and dubstep is going to stay exactly what it is: Dubstep! just more popular, i wouldn't mind to hear some coki, skream or joker on mainstream radio! what's wrong about it, as long we all hold together and keep supporting each other, it just can get greater.

i'd say that it got in a terrible accident, got blunt force trauma to the head, and is now suffering from a severe impairment of mental functions and has now regressed back to a child like stateWatchYourStep wrote: Dubstep has turned 18 and moved out of his parents' house.

Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
Just try this for a second: replace the words "shit stuff" with "music I don't like". I guarantee you'll have one, maybe two epiphanies on the spot.crackf wrote:i dono, my view is that the shit stuff is gettin popular

Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
lol yeah but you know what i mean, its not that i dislike pop music either most of my mates listen to it and i can shack out to it for an hour or so (club charts and that/alcohol permitting)WatchYourStep wrote:Just try this for a second: replace the words "shit stuff" with "music I don't like". but the type of dubstep that is hugely disliked is the stuff that is getting popular, if anything, those interested enough about finding more can only increase the amount of exposure of the dubstep that the majority of people on here enjoy
it was more of an arguement against the whole, dubsteps ruined because its getting popular, but theres still good producers makin tonnes of good stuff

a plant won't grow without its roots.
Even if, we could proudly say we all was a part of the revolution of pop music? :'D (english humor)

even moss has roots! -.- to be accurate, moss is one of the most complicated plant to cultivate. (i'm gardener mate and i built the secound moss garden in europe (zurich hotel hyatt) and it did not work well)

a rolling stone gathers no moss
Re: Mainstream dubstep Ep. 1: Britney Spears
Moss is a bryophyte. Moss does not have roots, it has rhizoids which act as roots, but are not roots.Big MD wrote:wub wrote:Big MD wrote:WatchYourStep wrote:Sorry to tell you this, but dubstep has grown beyond this forum. We'll leave the moss diatribe for another time.
In short; having a massively commercial tune within a certain genre doesn't automatically condemn said genre to graveyard of 'commercial'.
