*yawn*
Massive is very cold and mechanical - as much as I love its routing, I cannot bring mysel fto use it as I can never get the warmth I find using plugins like Sylenth1. If I had a Virus, I'd use that.

This, but I'm going to play around with some lsdj samples I made... Managed to get some sort of wobble out of it. Sounds not bad. Needs some depth though.legend4ry wrote:I use a sine wave sample at 60hz.

Re: What do you use to make your bass?
Man I've been using 3osc alot lately. I've always used it for my sub, but delicious square waves and delicious envelopes are delicious.

Re: What do you use to make your bass?
Sylenth looks a bit daunting when you first pull it up and get a screen full of tiny controls but it's actually pretty easy once you find your way round it.
Re: What do you use to make your bass?
Sometimes massive but most often resampled because it tends to hog cpu.
Sometimes z3ta.
But mostly I've been thrashing the Sytrus lately. Absolutely love that thing. Tweaking the matrix section almost always results in fucking brilliant sounds. Combine that with a peak filter with the res right up and you're in flavour country

subtractor
Re: What do you use to make your bass?
Operator.
Might try Massive for the first time today, see how it goes.
And for mid and highs usually make my own synth or boot up Analogue.

Albino3 FTW, you can get some nice grimy wobs out of it if you screw with the spectral waves
Re: What do you use to make your bass?
I'm a Reason man so:
Sub: Subtractor, triangle wave usually, but sometimes a sine.
'Raunchy' bass parts: 9/10 a Malstrom and then 4/5 put through the Tape or Tube setting on a Scream 4. Usually EQ out all the lows and blend the sub in with it.

Thor all day long.
Thor+maelstrom combis usually involving thor's oscilators and malestrom's filters or vice versa.
