It's a bit silly but I have to give them respect for doing their own thing and not caring what other people think. I love the sincerity of the whole thing. Like someone before me said, it's totally genuine.

The north of England is a terrible place. Having said that, MC Grimzee and the sexy nun rap is nothing short of genius! :n:
The guy that thinks Blackout Crew could be bigger than the beatles! LOL
I am so glad I don't live in Bolton, Burnley or Wigan. Roid-Rage nutjobs everywhere.
Check it out, unbelieveable scenes Geoff..
we aint all meatheads mate!!

check "Subversion" in Lancashire... we regularly smash the place to bits....... Dubstep all the way...

i live 5 miles from Burnley.. the scene is good, could be better.... but there is hope for us lol......

that said, there is a LOT of this kinda shit music around my ends..... hahahaha

Ha, this made me laugh, especially when the interviewer asks that guy "whats your plan for tonight?" "Beefed up. Bladdered. Then go fill someone's bum in."

From what I've seen of it I think the donk scene has a weird charm to it...Not like bassline which basically brings loads of killings and knife crime with it.

But maybe this is for a donk forum not a dubstep forum...

i fucking love the north. it might have the worst people in the country, but it also definitely has the best.

i even kind of respect the donk scene - it might be shit music, but you know for a fact that no-one's into it because they saw it in vice/fact/supersuper. it's totally genuine
Nice one mate! Was good having you play :)

I'll be venturing to my first Wigan Pier night pretty soon. Just need the right level of confidence and drugs in my system and I'm sure it will be fine.

Donk is what happened when acid house was left to fester with no outside musical input, so its just got faster and more silly as time has gone on. It's OTT music to get hammered to and have a dance. Nothing wrong with that really.

Is Jump-Up DnB any less silly in places?

Wigan Pier has also led to things such as this happening....

... which is fairly funny and also quite an impressive feat for a bunch of munters to pull off.

A few years ago, i used to be quite an Anglophile. I used to love everything british, from Doctor Who to Acid House and Spaced.

But then, this happened.

And now, i felt like nuking the entire north of England.

i can't work out if that's a joke or not? i would like this a lot more if they didn't do that, how fucking patronising.

'tip top old chap, i'm going on safari to the north, don't worry we've brought along an interpreter. don't touch anything though'

shame though, this is a good doc apart from the suffocating londoncentricity!
