yeah they do. it's all the youtube vids that get posted that are taking ages to download - that's why i put the 5 maximum bit in the thread title which should help a bit

I still think there's lots of great stuff out there now! As long as you kep it organic and stay firmly away from the UKF channel, then you're fine. I actually think dubstep's evolution is exciting. Yeah sure, the pure and real shit was back in the days of Skream and Benga, but the Beatles could't be around forever! Yet I love Radiohead... (Where am I going with this?)

Anyway, this is my case for 'different dubstep', and for how it keeps on evolving and reaching into places we wouldn't expect.

Firstly, Stenchman (Don't let that put you off. Hear me out):

Dubstep in 6/8? It really really works. Great sample in there, cleverly designed track.

Also, I love the idea of not having standard Kick n Snare on 1 + 3, there's so much more space in there to play with! I love his concept of 'breakstep'.

2010 was Jamie XX's year. What a guy. Saw him live supporting MF DOOM on the Doomsday tour, and it blew my mind. Really organic and beautiful.

Skrillex. Epitomises the change of dubstep in 2010 really. I don't know why everyone hates him so much. Embrace it! This is a really chiller of his. Not technically dubstep for all you pedants out there, but he is predominantly a dubstep producer, and this illustrates my point about just how original and different he is. Such a lovely track.

Coleco what more can be said about this tune? Amazing.

Right, I am ready for the barrage of criticism... aha
