Getting bored of dubstep?....
Re: Getting bored of dubstep?....
I got "tired" of dubstep a while ago. I still listen to quite a lot of dubstep, but most of the edm music I listen to right now would belong in the "house?" subforum here (which you should absolutely check out). It was the natural progression to me. Deadboy, Julio Bashmore, Mosca, Ramadanman, Roska, Mount Kimbie and many more, there are just so many people making amazing music right now.

not really bored, but more returning to a range of music i listened to pre-dubstep. ultimately that means i'm listening to less dubstep.
i like to switch it up....listening to one genre all the time is wack as fuck.
and also, been peeping tri angle & disaro for the past 3 months or so. took me a while to actually get into that sound, but it finally stuck.

Oh yeah, this. I seem to go through this kind of yearly cycle, where electronic stuff-wise, I listen mainly to dubstep around summer and mainly to breakcore/jungle around winter. There's also grime, which I guess you could say grew up alongside dubstep, but is focused more on rapping and things. Then there's those 'wonky' people, like Hudson Mohawke and Slugabed and those skweee guys who make the weird hip-hop type things, and there's actual dub reggae you can listen to, you know.apecore wrote:BREAKCORE!
Isn't there music which isn't primarily electronic? Maybe you should try some of that.
