I've got loads of Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci movies on dvd from poundland.
Plus loads of 80s video nasty type material on a label called hardgore (they also did some newer movies but they were shit)
Got Lamberto Bava's Demons from there on dvd too.

Bought a new bike pump out of Poundland last week which has yet to be put to the test. And I had moderate to high hopes of it working until reading this thread!
But its hard not to take a gamble for the sake of a quid

this
I bought I my mates the terrible DVDs they sell in 99pStores (couldn't see any films in Poundland plus i save 1p for every item bought

).
They had a few Asylum films (Transmorphers, I am Omega etc) as well as some really odd straight-to-VHS-and-then-for-some-reason-released-on-DVD films as well such as 'Alien Intruder' starring Billy Dee Williams and this magnificant fail:
literally the most hilarious pile of shit ever, I urge all ninjas to track this film down, get peng and laugh your mind off.. It took us about 3 hours to watch it cos we kept rewinding bits to laugh at again and again. The review here sums it up:

init, he's actually terrifying and not in a 'wow, Roddy Piper is great at playing a terrifying character' kind of way but rather a 'holy shit, Roddy Piper has actually gone insane and for some reason has been allowed to work with children' sort of way...
I urge people to watch this film, it's so weird

I picked up Nightmare in a Damged Brain, The Red Monks and Cat In The Brain. The Red Monks was shite though, think it was only produced by Fulci so.....

was interested, read the first review on imdb
was shocked by the openness and bohemian nature of the first reviewer

This thread is

cos I fell in love [at first sight] with Poundland. It is totally the same with the 99 COS here! I feel bad, cos I think I'm robbing this thread. Seriously, I love those two stores!
One time, I bought friends greeting cards just for lols (it was like 2 for 99 cents). The writing inside was very long, very heartfelt-like, and all in Spanish. They called me asking for what it meant, I don't fucking speak Spanish
