just wanted to get some feedback on this lol. plenty of fine tuning n stuff to do :cornlol: Soundcloud bootleg remix :cornlol:

nnny - nice keys and the intro is sick, sub is good as well and the drums fit in. overall everything seems good to me
eldoogle- imo i think the tune would suit itself better if it was a little shorter, because although the lead is cool it kinda gets a little repetive. I think just maybe shorten everything up a little and see how it sounds, should keep it more exciting :strooper: .
Aphile - i like the beat alot, but I think the main synth goes a little far out there, I think some fine tuning on that synth should fix things up alot

Maybe it's too much coffee in my system. Didn't mean for it to turn out like brostep, swear

At about 1.33, how did you make that downward spiraly lfo sound? Glide or something?

el doogle- i didn't feel like this tune went anywhere. there metallic wobs that came in at 2:07 felt really out of place and the lfo rate was really quantitized. i didn't feel like the song had that much energy. The snare sounded too organic for a really electronic sounding sound. also the hat sample you used seemed kinda annoying actually. I liked the melodies throughout, try and build a more energetic lead off of that. the production sounded really noobish to me honestly. not to get down on you but thats how i felt. heres my current wip

I strongly agree, the first few bars were cool because it was unique but it just repeated over and over. the melody at the end though was tight I would like to hear it expanded upon.

@RightOnTime27 I feel like the build up for the drop in the middle was a little awkward because of how long it was but, man that second tune was gangsta :corndance: Keep it up.

Taking from the advice from earlier this is (hopefully) a much improved BabyHippo

Ok. So I took the feedback and also decided to try and make it more pounding and added a drop. Also I decided to keep the intro long cause thats how I prefer it.

What's noobish about the production? I am a noob btw. The kick in this I haven't even touched.

steeple - ur definitly on to something on this one dude! intro tho is too empty for my tastes.. get some more percussion going on aswell but in a progressive way to give it a more building up like feeling! but im totally in love with the vibe in this one so far..!
that sub is absolutly spot on

eldoogle - intro sounding abit empty but still promising. was disapointed when it dropped, excuse me but was really uninspiring!
4.39 and forward was sweet tho melody and feeling overall but i just wish ud use something other than that woble
u need to work on the percussion also to make stuff abit more interesting i think

coreygoesrawr - i dont like this at all sorry :cornlol: everything was just randomness woo woo with a beat under it. but production wise sounds pretty good i think
no sub?? can only hear the bass from kicks but maybe u didnt want a subbass in it ? :corncry:

rightontime27 - some really nice vibes in the beginning of the song that i really cant put my finger on what was making it. the keys i think. try to bring out that vibe even more!! not quite fond of the wobbles tho.. some stuff in ur tune is also way too loud like some of them samples! keep workin on it tho!

ogunslinger - really nice work on the drums dude!! they sound really lively! nice vibes u got goin on! diggin the vox but intro was maybe abit too long!! i didnt get a feeling of a climax of the track tho ! keen on hearing the full version when its done !

also!! i would like to encourage everyone to please post longer wips, it can be really hard to "judge" a 1 min track.. u dont have to get feedback in an instant just because u made something dat might be good.. say, if you have a wip u want feedback on, and the track is no longer than 1-2 minutes, please take ur time to spend at least a couple of more hours on it.. i cant see the reason to post something that other people really cant fully grasp..
people can give so much better feedback on tunes that are more lenghty and then its even easier for you to improve ur wip!
please people take this into consideration!
thanks! :corndance:

Soundcloud
posted this earlier but this ones a little changes to the mix
i really need to learn about compression..
production wise feedback more than welcome :)
is sub too low? midrange bass too low? kicks too high??
i cant tell really, shitty monitors!!
tell me what can be improved!
thx in advance! :corndance:

Hay guys this is our first post of many! We really need some criticism on this track so don't be shy lol :)
First some feedback though!
Non xero - I'm loving the originality of kitchen percussion man keep it up :)

Danny dubstep - In your tune last man standing the build up is great. I think the song looses energy at the drop somehow though

Kalori breathe - Our walks in Autumn is absolutely fantastic, really relaxing

This is our new track its a remix of Ellie Gouldings's track lights. Let us know what you think guys, cheers.

We Bang - Wake the fuck up - Sick track so far. I really wanna hear the melody in the intro without the drums for a bit at the beginning, but thats a personal choice. Drop is wicked. Voice synth is bumpin on the breaks.

Mechablossom - Ellie Goulding Lights Remix - This will be big! The wobs are dirty... durrty. Not much to say. I want the final 320!

nacklewicket - The Device - I like the sounds you got going so far. Creates a dark atmosphere. Just have to work on the mix down a little bit. It felt slightly muddy at times. Make the snare a bit brighter? My biggest concern is the overall composition. Every time I listen to your track I really don't want to wait 3 min for the main part of the track to kick in. I'd shorten each part, spread the mid range wobs throughout to give the overall track more movement.

Steeple - Quantize - Yea, people generally dont comment on 1 min samples. Is it a skeleton for your track? Are you just looking for mixdown advice before you fully take on the track? The kick is a mess. It spikes way too much throughout each bar. Just look at the waveform. Sidechain it with the sub bass. Otherwise add more elements to the track unless you are going for that exact dubstep feel.

Think this is the right place, im only a n00b :)

Made this yesterday, first track made with Cubase. Its all midi. And its very melodic, almost liquid dubstep. Not even sure if it is dubstep tbh.

@MRP5

Leaving For Mars - Felt like it droped a little abrupt. Should leave some space before the drop just to give it that extra edge. I'm kind of a synthesis freak so I would suggest trying to beef your synth/bassline up and give it some more character. Great melody though, nice drum work, percussions were nice. Keys that droped in at the build-up for the 2nd drop were spot on. The mix down could use some work as well, but as this is just a clip of a WIP so just gunna disregard that :P
