Dubstep influenced hip hop

Post by kidstatic » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:48 pm

I know mc's rap over dubstep sometimes. People have different opinions on whether its good or not. Sometimes it can be annoying, like shuttup, I wanna hear the track. Other times if its live, it can really get the energy to the next level.

What about tracks heavily influenced by dubstep but kind of simplified specifically for lyrics? Seemed like something worth taking a shot at.

I've been working on some shit. Wrote the tracks. Wrote the lyrics. Let me know.

Well, for Dubstep with Hip Hop influences there is Ice Cream by Borgore... his only Rap/Dubstep hybrid song that I can stand.

As for Hip Hop with Dubstep influences... I have no idea.

this whole album (although you could make a case for grime influence over dubstep):
