Rob Papen Predator Synth

Hey All

just purchased predator synth

with massive you select new sound and you get basically a blank canvas to work with to make your own sound

i want to do this with predator but cant seem to get it off all the presets

des anyone know how to set it so its all blank and you can program your own stuff without having to piss around with the presets?

That's one of the things I miss about Reason. Had it set so that everything would start initialized.
It's a tiny annoyance... but still bothers me a tiny bit not having VSTs do that in Cubase.
No help though, sorry, never used Predator >_<

Papen synth usually have a blank pattern tucked away under one of the patch sub menus. In Albino, it's Diverse Sounds > Z_preset. Try having a chick through all of the sub menus of patches, especially the last patch of the last sub menu.

Failing that, as you've got a legit copy you could try checking the manual.

right click on the name of the current patch - then click default preset.

Just bought it as well. I thought my copy was fucked up because only the first preset was working, then nothing but silence. Turns out it depended on the bank i was in. I only received some preset banks, and many were, i suppose, empty. Filled with blank patches consisting of a bare sine wave. Other banks, every pre worked.

Just wondering if this is how it comes, or something went wrong. maybe i get a new download?

Dunno about that, it sounds weird! I got a free version that came with millions of presets. Dont worry about them anyway as default is the way to go 100X! make every sounds from default and gel your track together.

Just figured i'd mention I sorted the presets issue, it was a known bug with the Snow Leopard OSX download. RobPapen.com staff told me to download the install for Tiger instead and it worked perfectly. Rob Papen is very, very good for support.
